The Customer Success team is dedicated to building irreplaceable relationships with customers. OncoEMR Account Managers are responsible for the success of customers across Flatiron’s technical platforms. OncoEMR Account Managers manage a range of strategic projects and milestones, report on account performance and use deep technical and clinical knowledge to inform product recommendations. This is a highly cross-functional role, focused on working with customers as well as other internal teams, including Product, Engineering, HL7 Interfacing, Customer Support, Product Marketing, Sales and Implementation. Ultimately, the OncoEMR Account Managers are responsible for the both the technical and overall success of healthcare providers using Flatiron’s software platforms.

Candidates for OncoEMR Account Managers will excel in technical problem solving, clinical expertise of oncology workflows, written and verbal communication, relationship-building and project management. The role requires a sharp analytical mind, technical client management and organizational skills, resourcefulness, and a passion for addressing the most complex medical and technological challenge of our time.

Responsibilities:

  • Hold onsite meetings with doctors, nurses and other clinical staff to optimize patient workflow
  • Maintain deep knowledge of clinical oncology content including but not limited to regimens, drug dosing, new drug indications, etc.
  • Develop deep understanding of OncoEMR technology and HL7 interoperability standards for data transfer
  • Ability to engage key clinical and IT stakeholders at Flatiron’s largest and most complex oncology provider customers
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, business intelligence tools and project management software to effectively deliver results to oncology provider customers
  • Develop irreplaceable relationships with oncology provider customers; retain and exceed customer expectations
  • Be the oncology provider’s key point of contact for any technical or user system issues needed
  • Understand how oncology provider customers interact with Flatiron products and identify their needs, challenges and ideas
  • Advocate for oncology provider customers needs and ideas internally, and work cross-functionally with other teams to achieve outcomes and results for customers
  • Design, implement and document innovative strategies to drive customer engagement with key software feature updates and product releases
  • Deliver value-driven solutions; ensure that customers begin every interaction with Flatiron with a clear understanding of its purpose and conclude every interaction with tangible results or next steps

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or technology
  • Working knowledge of science of oncology
  • Previous experience with clinical trial protocols and practice operationalization of trials
  • Working knowledge of AJCC 8th Edition clinical, pathological, and neoadjuvant staging and diagnosing for cancer
  • Previous experience working with clinical (EMR) software as well as clinical project management software
  • Experience effectively troubleshooting key technical workflows and issues for customers for healthcare providers
  • Ability to navigate documents and escalate complex technical problems to product and engineering teams
  • Previous knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards to build data interfaces with other healthcare technology systems
  • Ability to solve problems in a resourceful and data-driven manner while working in a fast-paced, demanding start-up environment
  • Able to work with and influence a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively identify what’s important and effectively prioritize competing projects
  • Excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills
