As our Assistant General Manager your primary responsibility will be to support and promote the development of all our field team employees. You must be able to work in a support role and independently, while also thriving in a fast paced high growth team environment where your voice genuinely counts.

This role reports to the neighborhood General Manager.

What You'll Own

  • Ensuring employees have all the tools and training they need to succeed and grow with the company
  • Lead by example delivering on our company goals and vision, while maintaining our cultural standards
  • Develop meaningful ties with neighborhood businesses to grow local brand loyalty and goodwill
  • Implement and maintain elite standard operating procedures across all locations
  • Adhere to our product, service and brand training playbooks and ensure the field team are doing the same
  • Promote the correct handling of product to retain its freshness and quality with both food and beverage
  • Assist our General Managers in implementing & managing systems to avoid wastage of product with both food and beverage, following and adjusting par levels where needed in line with business peaks and lows
  • Ensure that all our locations are maintaining DOH standards at all times
  • Provide support and relief for General Managers while out of the business or on annual leave
  • Look for ways to drive revenue by understanding the trends and customer behaviors
  • Supporting the stores to achieve their labor, COGs and sales targets

Who You Are

  • 2-3 years successful experience working in a customer service leadership role, coffee experience preferred
  • Experience opening new locations and/or growing businesses
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and power through all our field operational tasks
  • Dynamic and motivating leader
  • Proven people-person and effective problem-solver

Our Headquarters are in the heart of Williamsburg with a great view of the Manhattan skyline over the East River. Our biggest HQ perk: we are walking distance from 4 of our coffee shops. Never again will you choose between being on time to work or grabbing a coffee in the morning!
