Job Description

The Digital Marketing and Commercial Excellence (DMCE) organization was stood up in early 2021 to accelerate our commercial transformation, with a focus on modernizing customer engagement for competitive advantage, using data-driven insights. We think about this from three angles:

  • How commercial teams develop and iterate strategy that bring value to patients, customers, and our Company
  • How we engage with customers to build a relevant conversation and sustain long-term relationships
  • How we build a culture that sparks innovation, experimentation and empowers diverse and inclusion teams


Our role is to work with colleagues across the world with the goal of doubling the speed, impact, and efficiency of our customer engagement over the next three years.
The DMCE organization consists of people with diverse backgrounds and skillsets. We have leaders who have gained extensive experience inside our Company, and from other large organizations and startups. We have people with deep experience in modern marketing and strategy, along with specialist capabilities. Examples include automation and marketing technology, customer experience, omnichannel marketing including social media, agile and change leadership, and content creation.
The role
The role will report to Change Leadership Director, the Associate Director defining the change strategies and partner with key stakeholders to execute plans where relevant, for prioritized initiatives and projects to reduce time to adoption and accelerate realization through behavioral shifts.
Role responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Develop the change management and communications strategy for global marketing initiatives
  • Act as a trusted coach, advisor to the program teams in effectively managing change risks across the targeted stakeholder segments
  • Design the stakeholder experience and journey using the voice of the [internal] customer and detailed stakeholder analysis and profiles
  • Baseline current organizational maturity in the new way of operation and define targeted action plan to achieve desired operational state
  • Support the design, development, delivery, and management of all communications efforts
  • Help to establish community of practice to enable learning and growth through a supportive network
  • Partner with capability experts to build practical, actionable change management toolkit that includes guidance on communications, stakeholder engagement, training, readiness & resistance assessment, etc.
  • Define, measure, and monitor key success metrics such as adoption/ usage/ employees' satisfaction/ adoption time, etc.
  • Leverage market and global insights to evolve and continuously improve how we effective lead our organization through change
  • Promote DMCE capabilities, assets and service to foster cross functional and global collaboration

Required education, qualifications, and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent from an accredited university.
  • At least 6 years' experience in a commercial environment with clear examples of how you have driven measurable change.
  • Team-oriented, foster inclusive, collaborative, agile work environment.
  • Commercial and strategic thinking: Ability to think strategically and critically in developing solutions that align with the wider context of the organization.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to understand and comfortably use the financial, employee, performance and any other data that comes your way.
  • Communication and influencing: Strong written and verbal communications across multiple channels with ability to concisely deliver key messages and ability to influence through networks adopting a 'win-win' approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people from all levels and parts of the organization.
  • Ability to bring structure to the undefined, manage volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity with comfort.
  • Practical knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks with experience working in global cross functional teams.


Preferred experience

  • Some global marketing experience with a focus customer engagement.
  • Some experience with digital marketing and digital capabilities.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.

  • Up to 50% international travel.
