Datadog is in hyper-growth. The Operations Division runs many day-to-day operations functions that help keep our employees safe, happy and productive. We work closely with both leadership and employees to ensure that Datadog continues to scale rapidly, yet smoothly, and remains a fantastic place to work.
The Opportunity:
We're looking for a Head of Travel, Events and Executive Support, based in our headquarters in New York. You’ll help us successfully run and scale our Travel and internal Events programs globally and oversee the team of professional assistants who support these functions and our leaders. Your role can cover anything from overseeing a department offsite for 100+ employees in Paris to enhancing the back-up assistant support schedule for our Leaders. Every day will be different.
You Will:
- Manage the relationship with our Travel Management Company (TMC) Trip Actions, including product enhancements to support our growing employee base and business needs
- Benchmark our travel policies against peers to ensure our program remains competitive
- Negotiate preferred-rate agreements with airlines, hotels, train operators and rental car companies
- Manage trip reporting and analysis to determine travel trends and share insights with relevant stakeholders, including travel policy enforcement
- Provide travel and event support for variety of internal meetings, including board meetings, employee meetings & off-sites, “Sales Kick-Offs”, “President’s Club” for a few to hundreds of attendees
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors
- Advise on our the Duty of Care strategy
- Manage and develop existing travel associate, including career development
- Oversee our Executive Support team, including managing, coaching and developing the team
- Collaborate with our leaders and assistants on providing a world-class service

- An active listener and quick learner, picking up new systems with ease
- Minimum of 8 years of Travel & Events function management experience
- Minimum of 5 years of people management experience with notable success stories
- In charge of an annual Travel & Events budget of $5m minimum
- Part of an active communities of Travel & Events function professionals who share insights and best practices
- Bachelor’s degree
