Overview:


The Information Technology Support Specialist facilitates VICE IT service desk requests and fields inquiries/problems and provides updates to users on progress and completion of requests. This person will be required to use exceptional communication skills to interact with geographically distributed teams of varying knowledge levels while collaborating on incidents and projects. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of globally distributed engineers. This position is located in New York.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding desktop support to a wide variety of users through phone and direct contact with internal and external clients and business teams.
  • Installing, repairing and configuring Macs, PCs, peripherals, and other end user equipment 
  • Assisting in researching SCCM Current Branch, Window OS, and other team managed applications
  • Packaging software and some scripting knowledge is desired

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in an IT support capacity in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for providing outstanding support for inbound incident tickets, as well as foresight to assess risk and scale.
  • Knowledge of JAMF management, packaging and deployments
  • Knowledge of SCCM management, packaging and deployments
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve break/fix problems in an Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows environment
  • Hands-on experience configuring / supporting iPhone and Android devices on Google-based networks
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networks and internet protocols
  • Knowledge of management, troubleshooting and updating SCCM Servers
  • Share a rotation / on-call nights and weekend support 
  • Good written documentation skills and demonstrable experience of documenting systems and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to interact with users of varying technical skill levels.
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within the team and across various IT groups and business units.
  • Detail-oriented individual who can manage his/her own time. 
  • Split time approximately 20:80 between project-based work and support-based work; split may change depending on workload.
