This is NOT the typical SAT tutoring position.

Serving clients across the U.S. and in twelve countries worldwide, Lakhani Coaching teaches students to turn desire into ambition, and ambition into success. We coach students in four core areas: university admissions, standardized testing, academic skills and character growth. As a result of our work, our students earn higher marks, more letters of acceptance, and more opportunities to achieve—but what’s more important is that they become better thinkers with bigger dreams. We believe that success requires more than the right answers. It requires passion, inspiration and commitment. This is an exciting and pivotal time for Lakhani Coaching. We are a small team that has been growing by over 2x each year.

Position:

This is NOT an entry-level role.

More than anything else, our coaches act as ambition role models. Whether an emerging author, a professional opera singer, or a social justice advocate, each coach is a seasoned expert in his or her areas of instruction. Together, they hail from the best universities in the world, have scored in the 99th percentile on standardized tests, and possess as many as eighteen years experience in test prep. We're looking for expert SAT/ACT and Academic instructors who love to inspire young people and who have at least three years teaching or tutoring experience. Ideal candidates will also possess career, professional, and academic experiences and expertise to offer our students.

We offer strong pay (successful and experienced coaches can earn in the six figure range), flexible scheduling, the chance to work virtually with clients from across the globe, and the opportunity for occasional travel—this in addition to a positive, supportive work environment. We are looking for someone who is willing to grow with our company and take on greater responsibilities in time.

This position is based in New York City.

A successful candidate will possess:

• Clarity in communication
• Eagerness to work with students of all personality types and nationalities, as well as with parents and firm administrators
• Strong writing skills
• The ability to create structure in an unstructured environment
• Great enthusiasm and positivity
• Advanced degrees are a plus
• Math, science, and/or medical backgrounds are also a plus
• A willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
• An ability to work with the most discerning clientele
