Reporting to the Director of Marketing Strategy and Operations, the Manager, Marketing Budget Strategy & Operations will be the link between the Marketing Team and the Financial Planning & Analysis Team within Finance.

A critical role within the Marketing, the position requires a consultative mindset as a trusted liaison to our Marketing budget owners, globally, through budget support/forecasting and problem-solving. In addition, you will assist in global strategic planning by highlighting marketing performance and supporting Marketing ROI frameworks across the entire Marketing team. Finally, the position will support Marketing team global projects that include analytics, research, business development, campaign execution, and more.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the Marketing budget like a fund for Marketing and be the thread to Marketing budget owners/stakeholders, including FP&A and Finance
  • Be the point-of-contact between Marketing, FP&A, and Accounting for tracking all marketing spend/invoices globally - own all monthly/quarterly/annual close processes and contract renewals for Marketing.
  • Oversee monthly budget recap/summaries and forecasting by working closely with Marketing budget owners (functions/regions) to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Be a relationship manager to budget owners to help reconcile budget to actuals and drive budget acumen/execution across functions/regions within Marketing, globally.
  • Work directly with budget owners to assist in the development of the Marketing strategy, recommending and obtaining a commitment to where the investment should be focused.
  • Be a valued partner to Finance - build-on/improve partnership efficiencies including developing/amending processes, provide input to any financial system requirements, and adhere to FP&A’s accrual process and monthly/quarterly/annual reporting needs by Marketing
  • Collaborate with the Analytics & Insights team to align the investment strategy and global plan to Marketing ROI
  • Coordinate global annual planning process and quarterly reviews in conjunction with Marketing leadership. 
  • Buildout marketing dashboards and analytical tools for marketing investment performance using Tableau with the Analytics & Insights and Business Intelligence teams.
  • Support special projects within Marketing and other initiatives for the team as needed.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Management or related field, preferred
  • MBA Preferred, not required.
  • Ideally 5-8 years of budget management experience to support marketing operations/execution.
  • Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS company environment and/or consulting/professional services preferred
  • Advanced Excel/data analytics experience, including manipulation of large data sets, to analyze, summarize and present financial and narrative information clearly (summaries, analyses, recommendations, insights)
  • Excellent communication with a global mindset to work across multiple time-zones/business approaches.
  • Executive presentation/summarizing skills - ability to distill details to highlights/takeaways.
  • Excellent presentation, oral, and written business communication skills with various audiences and levels
  • Strong organization and time management skills, ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Knowledge in analytics software (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) ideal but not required
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite with emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to build compelling and impactful presentations and materials.
  • High level understanding of content and digital marketing across multiple mediums
  • A personality that exudes humility, no-ego, agility, grit, and openness to learn
