The Role:

Our Workplace Receptionist role supports a multitude of operational functions in our NYC office while maintaining a creative, collaborative and productive environment. Successful candidates will have an entrepreneurial drive, a passion for creating and maintaining relationships, the ability to manage competing priorities, strong organizational skills and possess a proactive and approach to service the office. This position will report to DailyPay’s Director of Procurement and Facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the face of the company to incoming guests, greet and properly direct all clients and guests. Be responsive to needs upon arrival.
  • Answering a multi-line computer-based telephone and give appropriate information to callers or route calls to appropriate party while demonstrating professional telephone etiquette.
  • Coordinating common area and meeting spaces, including catering, cleaning management and support as needed for special events held in these spaces.
  • Order, track, and confirm receipt of messenger services and other UPS/FedEx/USPS mailings. Support the day-to-day delivery of services on site in accordance with all agreed policies, procedures, and contract scope.
  • Maintain a clean and presentable appearance of the reception area
  • Fulfill orders for employee Amazon Book Requests
  • Manage building sign-in process for vendors and visitors with professionalism and hospitality.
  • Activate and remove users from building badge access systems and Workplace program profile setups (Travel/Office Supplies, etc.)
  • Provide high-level support to employees and wayfinding/amenities within the building, neighborhood amenities, and organizational information.
  • Receive, inform, and guide visitors including coordination with employees.
  • Responsible for maintaining all contact lists including suppliers/contractors.
  • Participate as a key team member in responses to emergency situations.
  • Coordinate and manage special requests for Workplace services that are outside of the routine services provided.
  • Complete special projects for management as needed.
  • Assist SVP External Operations with various administrate tasks.

Qualifications/Experience/Requirements

    • College degree with 2+ years work experience in a customer focused service role (hospitality or concierge experience preferred).
    • Must have excellent communication skills. 
    • Self-motivated; confident, energetic, and flexible.
    • Proactively attend to the varying needs of the office to ensure all business functions are running smoothly 
    • Support company-wide initiatives that improve the overall team member experience, including events, promotions, and communications
    • Address team member concerns and ensure prompt resolution
    • Foster a sense of community within the office and virtually through daily interactions and monthly special events
  • Collaborate with the Workplace team and others to develop continuous impactful and scalable process improvements aimed at providing top-notch employee experience and operational efficiencies
