The People & Culture team is looking for an extraordinary and outgoing Office Manager to run the front desk at BetterClouds headquarters in NYC. As the Office Manager, you are responsible for maintaining a safe, welcoming environment in our NYC office. You will be the face of the company for all clients, candidates and visitors. You should have a great attitude, strong organizational skills, multi-task well and thrive in working in a fun, fast-paced environment. You will report to the Director of People and Culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the front reception desk with poise and warmth
  • Ensure the office is clean, organized and visitor-ready at all times
  • Maintain the office condition and arrange necessary repairs
  • Manage office supply, kitchen and meal ordering and budgets
  • Create and manage relationships with building management and third-party vendors (ie food, cleaning)
  • Assist with organizing team, office and company-wide events and meetings, office perks, and special projects such as office moves and expansion
  • Own the office/kitchen budget and reconcile expenses at month-end
  • Manage intranet for People & Culture team
  • Provide local support by responding to in-person and ticketing requests with excellent customer service
  • Assist in the hiring and onboarding process, which includes interview coordination, greeting candidates, setting up new hire swag packages and desks
  • Manage our swag inventory and fulfillment
  • Assist the People & Culture team with adhoc projects

Requirements  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 1­- 2 years of professional experience in a fast­-paced, preferably tech, office environment
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organization skills with a strong sense of urgency and efficiency in completing projects ahead of deadlines
  • Positive, proactive attitude and desire to improve processes and find best solutions
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment
  • Excellent problem solving skills required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on timely, friendly communications
  • Minimum intermediate computer skills
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
  • Experience with Mac and GSuite

Nice to Have

  • Experience with work order ticketing systems
