Platform Operations Manager

BidSwitch is a smart infrastructure grid for the programmatic technology industry; that helps to facilitate more than 350 supply and demand global technology partners to connect and trade media across all formats. As a company, BidSwitch processes and filters the entire global programmatic inventory bidstream; layering on data, fraud detection and other services and intelligently optimizing and routing bid opportunities to relevant buyers - all in real-time. As such, BidSwitch represents a massive, globally scaled technology infrastructure that serves to aggregate inventory access, centralize buyer distribution, with numerous value-added tools and large-scale financial media billing & processing.

Currently we are looking for a highly organized, solutions-oriented problem-solver to join us as Platform Operations Manager for the BidSwitch business. As a team, Operations is responsible for the operational scaling of the associated business processes required to support the day-to-day management and growth of the BidSwitch platform, products and services.

The Platform Operations Manager for BidSwitch is effectively responsible for the global operational management of the BidSwitch platform for demand and supply partners, ensuring efficient set-up, onboarding and administrative support for partners on the platform as well as playing an integral role in the creation, implementation and enforcement of policies across the platform. A critical component of this role will also entail process oversight and day to day monitoring, investigation and settlement of Fraud and discrepancy related issues across, including associated participation and management of TAG and other accreditation programs. 

A proven history in ad-tech operations and the ad-tech industry technology, players and best practices is critical to the role as is experience in both creating and implementing structured and well considered procedures and processes.

Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills are paramount for this position, as the Platform Operations Manager will also report on platform issues both internally and externally, make informed platform operations changes and provide key feedback to multiple internal teams, including Product, Client Services and Finance.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the right individual must possess the ability to work with multiple teams, over multiple time zones and cultures.
 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary owner and subject matter expert of all operational aspects of the BidSwitch Platform.
  • Manage set-up, onboarding and key ongoing operational changes and associated platform processes for partners.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of partners on the platform, including managing processes for partner screening and removal for fraud / malware and policy infringements.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, investigation and resolution of fraud and discrepancy related issues on the Platform.
  • Work closely with BidSwitch Support and Client Services to create, manage and streamline processes as they relate to the platform, trading polices, partners and its usage.
  • Liaise with Finance and Account teams to maintain (and improve) financial, account, and invoicing tools within the Platform.
  • Act as key stakeholder in managing 3rd party accreditation and certification programs including MRC, TAG and GDPR related initiatives.
  • Provide key insights and act as operational & platform stakeholder in new product development and got to market planning.
  • Lead analysis of performance benchmarks, operational trends and health metrics within the Platform
  • Create and maintain internal- and external-facing Platform operational documents and guides.

 

Experience and Requirements:

  • Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in the advertising technology industry in a vendor or client-facing role.
  • A background in ad operations or platform/product operations background is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with programmatic media trading, industry players, and RTB related technologies considered a major advantage
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize/ handle a number of concurrent projects and tasks
  • Desire to deliver a top-notch customer experience; strong consultative skills.
  • Extremely strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, fun, and entrepreneurial environment; flexibility in working across both cultures and languages.
