Design, implement, optimize, and support Oracle EPM Planning and Essbase solutions. Lead end-to-end implementations, build Essbase cubes and calculation scripts, integrate with data sources, tune performance, gather requirements, mentor team members, and support presales and strategic reviews.
JOB SUMMARY:
Argano is seeking an experienced Planning & Essbase Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Planning and Essbase solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of financial planning processes, excellent technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable solutions that meet business requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Architect and design Oracle EPM Planning and Essbase solutions tailored to meet business requirements and financial/operational planning processes.
- Lead the implementation of EPM Planning and Essbase solutions, including installation, configuration, customization, and integration with other systems.
- Develop and maintain Essbase cubes, calculation scripts, business rules, and Essbase databases to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define solution architecture, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Optimize performance and scalability of EPM Planning and Essbase applications through performance tuning, capacity planning, and infrastructure optimization.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Planning and Essbase applications, including issue resolution, system enhancements, and user training.
- Stay current with Oracle EPM Planning and Essbase product updates, patches, and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Participate in presales activities, as needed, to develop client solutions and presentations, and to demonstrate, present, and explain Argano’s offerings to prospective clients.
- Perform technical evaluations of current EPM solutions and offer guidance.
- Experience in leading strategic reviews is considered an advantage.
- Mentor junior team members and share expertise in Planning and Essbase technologies
MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years of experience architecting, implementing, and supporting Oracle EPM Planning and Essbase solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle Hyperion EPM Suite (On-Premise and Cloud), including EPM Planning, Essbase, Calculation Manager, Narrative/Management Reporting, Groovy scripting, and Smart View. Familiarity with Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management (EPCM) and/or Enterprise Data Management (EDM) is highly desirable.
- Must have completed at least 5 end-to-end implementations for Planning solutions involving multiple modules
- Experience in process reengineering, designing and implementing business performance management applications including budgeting, forecasting, planning, consolidation, and reporting, including understanding of finance and accounting principles.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data integration techniques.
- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to advise clients on strategic EPM/Systems direction.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Must be fully available to travel within the US.
