Outbound Sales Manager

New York, NY

Reports to: VP of Sales

About Bright Power

Bright Power is a leading provider of energy efficiency, decarbonization, and renewable energy solutions for the real estate industry. Using our “Find, Fix, and Follow” approach, we help building owners, developers, and property managers navigate NYC's building energy laws (Local Law 84, 87, 88, 97), reduce emissions, and unlock long-term financial and sustainability value across their portfolios.

The Role

Bright Power is building out its outbound sales function and looking for a player/coach Outbound Sales Manager to lead our BDR team while carrying their own closing quota. This is a hands-on management role: you'll coach and develop business development reps, build out the outbound process, and close outbound-sourced business yourself.

Working within our established sales tech stack, you'll roll out the outbound workflow, cadences, and team adoption across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and coach a team of BDRs — onboarding, pipeline coaching, KPI tracking, and performance development
  • Carry a personal closing quota, working assigned and self-sourced outbound opportunities through to close
  • Own the outbound process: prospecting cadences, list-building workflows, and lead qualification criteria
  • Drive team adoption of Bright Power's outbound tech stack (Salesforce, Salesloft, LeadIQ, PropertyShark) as onboarding and rollout continue
  • Partner with the Director of Sales and VP of Sales on outbound strategy, hiring, and headcount planning
  • Report on team pipeline, activity, and attainment
Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience specifically managing an outbound sales or BDR team
  • 5+ years of experience in sustainability, energy services, or B2B sales is a plus
  • Previous work experience in the real estate sector, including property management, real estate, or a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proposal writing
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce (or similar CRM tool)
  • Strong coaching skills — able to develop reps through prospecting and qualification challenges, not just monitor output

Nice to Have

  • Experience with sales engagement, prospecting, or CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Salesloft, LeadIQ, PropertyShark)
  • Familiarity with NYC building energy compliance (LL97, LL87, LL84) or the real estate/property management industry
  • Experience hiring or onboarding BDR/SDR talent

Salary Range : $100,000 - $120,000
