CAIS is the pioneer in democratizing access to and education about alternative investments for independent financial advisors, empowering them to engage and transact with leading asset managers at scale through a wide variety of alternative investment products and technology solutions. CAIS provides access to strategies including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, real estate, digital assets, and structured notes. CAIS serves over 2,500 wealth management firms that support more than 65,000 financial advisors who oversee approximately $8.5 trillion in end-client assets.

CAIS is always looking for the next game changer to join our growing Partner Experience team. This is a dual-hatted role that combines the relationship-driven side of Partner Experience (owning partner relationships, service delivery, and escalations) with the technical, platform-facing side (configuring the CAIS platform, driving process improvements and automation) into a single point of accountability. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable owning a partner relationship end-to-end and driving a cross-functional platform delivery project.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and relationship owner for financial advisors, firms, and partners across the Alternatives Ecosystem.
  • Own service delivery and escalation management for an assigned set of partners and/or processes — ensuring timely resolution and consistently high-quality experience.
  • Develop working expertise in the CAIS platform, investment products, and the alternatives ecosystem to lead client and partner education, training, and platform demos.
  • Configure and connect the CAIS platform for partners and lifecycle phases: platform configuration, firm/user/fund permissions, connectivity scoping, and integration and workflow testing.
  • Own document and data digitization work, and document/approval workflow design, for assigned partner segments.
  • Perform business and data analysis to troubleshoot problems, build reports, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Provide issue monitoring and technical issue support for partner-facing platforms and data issues.
  • Proactively communicate with partners on status, changes, and issues; provide consultative guidance on how to get the most from the CAIS platform.
  • Drive product and process improvements, automation, and adoption of new tools — including Digital Workforce and AI/agentic capability.
  • Identify recurring partner pain points and engage with Technology and Transformation to resolve.
  • Lead and support platform delivery projects, from scoping requirements through launch, in partnership with Technology, Product, and Relationship Management.
  • Build relationships across internal teams — Sales, Transformation, Product, Technology and Enablement teams — needed to resolve partner needs end-to-end.
  • Maintain process and technical documentation and accurately track case/interaction in CRM and collaboration tools (e.g., Airtable, SharePoint).
  • Additional responsibilities are determined based on capacity, skill, and interest.

Qualifications

Analyst — 0–2 years in client service, solutions/operations, or platform configuration within financial services (relevant internship or academic background considered)

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, computer science, or related discipline required.
  • Genuine interest in financial services, alternative investments, and technology transformation.
  • Build effective working relationships with immediate team members, partners, and cross-functional stakeholders; communicate clearly and ask for help when needed.
  • Completes assigned tasks reliably and keeps status current in CRM and tracking tools; raises obvious blockers early.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and basic data validation; raises data quality issues for the team.
  • Exemplary oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences.
  • FINRA Series 7, 63 preferred, or within 6 months of hire (requirement is role dependent).
  • Prior experience in a small to mid-sized firm, startup environment, or relevant internship preferred.
  • Builds working relationships with partners and internal stakeholders beyond the immediate team; routinely updates partners on status and negotiates smaller-scope requests independently.
  • Writes repeatable queries and supports test runs and data validation for platform configuration changes.
  • Produces and maintains SOPs and checklists for assigned partner and platform areas; documents learnings and mentors newer Analysts.

Associate — 3–5 years (all Analyst qualifications, plus:)

  • Alternative investments/fund knowledge and direct experience with platform configuration or data analysis required.
  • Skilled at building trusted relationships and managing multiple partner relationships concurrently, while also leading medium-scope platform or process delivery projects.
  • Owns service delivery, escalation resolution, and platform configuration for an assigned book of partners with minimal oversight.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM programs, and data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau).
