About Novata

Novata is a public benefit corporation founded by a unique consortium of leading foundations and private-sector organizations, including the Ford Foundation, the Omidyar Network, S&P Global, and Hamilton Lane. Our mission is to empower the private markets to build a more inclusive and sustainable form of capitalism. We do this by providing best-in-class technology and tools to help clients collect, analyze, benchmark, and report ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) data. With a diverse, experienced, and mission-driven team, we are building a company that values both performance and purpose.

Novata is proud to have acquired Atlas Metrics to expand our global reach and expand our product innovation. Together, we make sustainability even simpler for private markets. Now, 400+ clients and over 13,000 companies worldwide count on Novata to make collecting, reporting, and acting on sustainability data easy.

Job Summary

Novata is looking for a driven and relationship-focused Partnership Manager to manage and grow our ecosystem of sustainability-focused partners. Novata’s partner network spans four distinct categories — Technology Partners (including Microsoft, S&P Global, Snowflake, CDP, Climatiq, and Briink), Distribution Partners (including Northern Trust, IQ-EQ, and JTC), Advisory & Consulting Partners (including ERM and Johnston Carmichael), and Industry Partners (including Invest Europe, EFRAG, BVCA, and Reframe Venture) — and this role is the connective tissue that keeps those relationships productive, growing, and aligned with Novata’s platform and client goals.

This is a high-impact role that sits at the heart of Novata’s go-to-market strategy. You will report to the Head of Partnership and serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of partners, working cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Novata Advisory teams to activate co-sell opportunities, unlock new distribution channels, and ensure partners can confidently deliver Novata’s solutions to their clients.

What You'll Be Doing

Partner Relationship Management

  • Own and grow day-to-day relationships across Novata’s four partner categories: Technology, Distribution, Advisory & Consulting, and Industry partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key partners such as Microsoft, S&P Global Sustainable1, CDP, Northern Trust, ERM, Invest Europe, and EFRAG.
  • Develop joint business plans with strategic partners, setting clear goals, KPIs, and mutual success metrics.
  • Proactively identify and onboard new partners that extend Novata’s market reach or deepen its solution offering for private markets clients.

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Collaborate with Novata’s Sales and Marketing teams to activate co-sell and co-marketing programs with Technology and Distribution partners.
  • Support partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline generation — tracking outcomes and iterating on strategy based on results.
  • Drive partner enablement: ensure partners fully understand Novata’s platform, solutions, and value proposition so they can represent Novata credibly to investors and companies.
  • Coordinate joint activity around Novata’s Azure Marketplace listing, and other platform-level integrations.
  • Represent Novata at partner events, industry bodies, and joint client meetings — particularly across private markets events in New York and London.

Platform & Integration Partnerships

  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to support the technical aspects of technology partnerships, including integrations.
  • Coordinate with the Microsoft partnership team to maximize Novata’s Azure Marketplace presence and supplier sustainability positioning.
  • Track integration roadmaps and flag partner dependencies that may impact product planning.

Industry & Standards Partnerships

  • Manage relationships with industry and standards bodies including Invest Europe, EFRAG, BVCA, and Reframe Venture to ensure Novata’s framework alignment remains current and credible.

Reporting & Operations

  • Track and report on partner performance, pipeline contribution, and return on investment across all partner categories.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of partner activity, pipeline, and communications.
  • Share market intelligence and partner feedback with internal stakeholders to inform Novata’s product roadmap and GTM strategy.

About You

  • You build trust quickly and communicate clearly — whether you’re talking to a sustainability consultant, a fund administrator, or a senior executive at a global financial institution.
  • You have strong commercial instincts and can identify mutual value in partnership opportunities across diverse partner types.
  • You’re energized by the complexity of managing multiple partner relationships simultaneously and know how to prioritize where to focus.
  • You’re genuinely curious about ESG, sustainability data, and the role that private markets can play in driving a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
  • You operate with transparency and follow through on your commitments — partners and colleagues know they can rely on you.

You Have Experience

  • 3–6 years in partnerships, business development, or alliances — ideally within SaaS, fintech, ESG, or sustainability-related industries.
  • Managing partner relationships across more than one partner type (e.g., technology partners AND advisory/consulting partners), with a track record of measurable outcomes.
  • Working with or alongside financial services firms, fund administrators, or technology organizations (e.g., experience with firms like Microsoft and S&P is a strong plus).
  • Supporting or executing co-sell and co-marketing programs with technology platform partners, including experience with marketplace ecosystems (Microsoft Azure Marketplace experience is a plus).
  • Engaging with sustainability frameworks and standards bodies such as CDP, EFRAG, Invest Europe, TCFD, or ISSB — or a demonstrated ability to get up to speed quickly.
  • Using CRM and partnership management tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track pipeline and activity.

Important Notes

  • This role is based in New York City, with hybrid working arrangements (2 days in the office).
  • Applicants must be located in and eligible to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are unable to support visa applications or relocation at this time.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary
  • Equity ownership opportunities
  • Comprehensive health benefits packages (medical, dental, 401(k))
  • Robust leave policies (PTO, parental leave, VTO)
  • Flexible work environment with two days working from the New York Office
  • Mission-driven, collaborative, and inclusive culture
