About the role

Method's Partnerships team is responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships that give Method better distribution, improved economics, and new product capabilities. We're looking for a sharp, curious, and hardworking MBA intern to join Brett Twomey this summer and make a real contribution to how we grow through partnerships.

This isn't a research-and-observe internship. You'll own work product from day one — building partner analyses, modeling deal economics, drafting proposals, and helping shape our perspective on where Method should be investing in the partnership landscape. You'll work directly with the Head of Partnerships and operate cross-functionally across Method's team.

We care a lot about building early relationships with talented people. If you're thinking about fintech, payments, or BD as a long-term path, this is a chance to go deep in a fast-moving environment and understand how the infrastructure behind financial products actually works.

What you'll do

You will aid the Partnerships org with special projects. These could include the following:

  • Build a structured map of Method's partnership landscape — who the key players are, where we're underinvested, and where the highest-leverage opportunities lie.

  • Model the financial and operational impact of active and prospective partner deals.

  • Support prep and follow-up for partner conversations: briefs, decks, business cases, and proposals.

  • Research prospective partners — understanding their business model, product capabilities, and how a partnership with Method could be structured.

  • Analyze vendor and conversion data to identify cost optimization opportunities in Method's payment waterfall.

  • Aid in renegotiating or restructuring existing vendor and contract arrangements.

  • Operate as a true generalist on the Partnerships team — owning ad hoc work, handling ambiguity, and moving fast.

Who you are
  • First-year MBA student at a top program, with a strong undergraduate track record.

  • Prior experience in consulting, banking, VC, or BD/strategy — you know how to structure a problem and write a clear recommendation.

  • Comfortable in Excel and able to build financial models or analyses from scratch.

  • A strategic thinker who can connect Method's product to a partner's business model and articulate the "why" behind a deal.

  • Low ego, high initiative — the kind of person who puts pen to paper first and improves from feedback.

  • Genuinely excited about fintech, payments infrastructure, or the problem Method is solving.

Extra Awesome
  • Background in payments, card tokenization, or fraud, not expected, but a massive plus.

  • Experience at a payments company, neobank, or fintech-adjacent firm.

  • You've worked with messy data sets and know how to clean, model, and extract insight from them.

  • Strong storytelling skills, can turn analysis into a compelling narrative.
