Tickets.com seeks a Payment Services Analyst to drive excellence on our Payments & Settlements team.

The Payment Services Analyst will assist the Payments department in the areas of Fraud Prevention, Chargeback Management, and other Payments department projects and services.

Responsibilities

Fraud Prevention

  • Review high risk transaction queues and identify fraudulent transactions within the business portfolio to reduce potential revenue losses
  • Analyze fraud data to help with maintaining fraud strategies improving effectiveness of fraud prevention
  • Remain current on industry and business fraud trends and recommend policies, procedures and processes to minimize risk and loss
  • Identify system improvements to prevent fraudulent activities
  • Recommend new software tools used for fraud detection, prevention, and reporting activities
  • Recommend anti-fraud strategies to assist in combating evolving fraud patterns and trends

Chargeback Management

  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of card network chargeback flows and policies
  • Research and respond to Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, PayPal, etc. chargebacks for Tickets.com’s business portfolio
  • Maintain systems and processes for weekly settlement reporting
  • Prepare and distribute performance reports on a recurring and ad-hoc basis
  • Clearly communicate chargeback best practices to clients
  • Analyze chargeback data to identify and report on missed fraud trends to strengthen fraud prevention

Payments

  • Assist with onboarding new Tickets.com clients
  • Contribute to payment system redundancy efforts
  • Build and maintain relationships with our various Payment Service Providers
  • Troubleshooting payment system errors and misconfigurations
  • Miscellaneous projects and assignments

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s preferred and/or 3+ years of relevant business experience.
  • Strong understanding and experience with chargeback and fraud detection software
  • Remote evening, holiday and weekend availability, as required
  • Proven self-starter with a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to handle and complete multiple projects
  • Solid understanding and proven experience identifying fraud trends
  • Strong internet research skills with the ability to navigate through multiple systems
  • Strict confidentially of company and customer data
  • Strong follow up and investigation skills
  • Understanding of ticketing systems a plus
  • Basic understanding of chargeback guidelines
  • Ability to work within a team-oriented environment to achieve common goals and objectives
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good interpersonal relationship and communication skills
  • PC proficient, with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (especially MS Word and Excel)

Pay Range: $28.00/hour - $32.50/hour

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related aspects of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
