I'm Kristen Nolan, Vice President, People & Accounting at Teamworks. We're a global company with employees across the US, Canada, UK, Netherlands, Australia, and Belgium, and our payroll operations need to keep pace with where we're headed. Right now that means bringing on someone who can own this function end-to-end, not just execute the cycles but build the infrastructure that scales with us.

This role sits at the intersection of People and Finance, which means the work you do touches every employee at the company. I'm looking for someone who takes that seriously, brings sharp attention to detail, and can improve how we operate over time, not just maintain the status quo.

The Role
  • Own end-to-end payroll operations across all global entities (US, Canada, UK, Netherlands, Australia, and Belgium), plus EOR payroll through Deel for additional international locations

  • Drive payroll compliance across all regions, including tax filings, required reporting, and year-end close (W-2s, T4s, and local equivalents)

  • Build and maintain the controls, reconciliations, and documentation that keep payroll audit-ready and scalable as we add new countries and entities

  • Partner with People and Finance to ensure clean inputs, accurate journal entries, and meaningful payroll reporting that supports budgeting and forecasting

  • Own the employee-facing side of payroll, triaging the inbox, resolving issues quickly, and managing benefits and retirement deductions (401(k), RRSP, and regional equivalents) with accuracy

What I'm Looking ForWhat You Must Bring
  • 5+ years owning end-to-end payroll, including hands-on experience running US and Canada payroll specifically

  • Proven track record supporting global payroll across multiple countries and entities simultaneously

  • Deep knowledge of payroll principles and multi-jurisdictional tax and labor law (local, state, federal, and international)

  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems, with experience administering retirement and benefits programs

  • A customer-service mindset when supporting employees, paired with the attention to detail and judgment needed to meet tight deadlines without errors

Even Better If
  • You've worked in Rippling

  • You've managed payroll through Deel or another EOR provider

  • You have experience with payroll accounting, reconciliations, and payroll-related journal entries

Why This Role

Teamworks is growing in headcount and geographic complexity, and the person in this role will build the payroll foundation that supports all of it. This isn't a maintenance job — there's real infrastructure to improve, new entities to onboard, and a seat at the table with People and Finance leadership to do it right.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship at this time.
