About the role

Bizzabo is looking for a hands-on, people-first People Business Partner to join our evolving People Team. This role will be a close partner to leaders and employees across our North American GTM teams, focused on strengthening culture, engagement, and day-to-day people operations.

This isn’t a traditional HR role. You’ll work at the intersection of people, culture, and business — combining strong operational execution with genuine human connection. You’ll support a distributed organization in a fast-moving, ever-changing industry.

If you’re the kind of person who notices what’s missing, rolls up your sleeves, and builds what’s next, you’ll feel right at home here. We’re operating like a startup: agile, bold, and deeply human-centric.

Who we are

Bizzabo’s Event Experience Operating System is a modern, intuitive platform used by the world’s leading organizations to deliver immersive experiences and events at scale. Named a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ and Forrester Wave™ for event technology, enterprises rely on Bizzabo to manage their entire event portfolio, regardless of format or size. Bizzabo is recognized by Newsweek as a 2024 Global Most Loved Workplace and as a 2024 Top Most Loved Workplaces® for LGBTQ+ employees. Bizzabo was founded in 2011 by Boaz Katz, Alon Alroy, and Eran Ben-Shushan

What you’ll do

Manager & Employee Enablement

  • Be a thought partner to managers on people leadership, from day-to-day feedback and performance conversations to employee relations, difficult situations, and building strong, engaged teams
  • Owning performance review cycles and engagement surveys — with an eye toward clarity and impact.
  • Be a sounding board for employees, handling sensitive topics with empathy and discretion.

People Operations & Employee Experience

  • Be a trusted point of contact for employees and managers across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, changes, leaves, offboarding, and everything in between.
  • Partner closely with the Finance team on payroll inputs, benefits administration, and employment-related compliance (no payroll processing required).
  • Ensure people processes are clear, compliant, and human.

Culture & Engagement

Actively support and evolve our company culture across regions, with sensitivity to local nuances.

  • Help design and run engagement initiatives, rituals, and programs that strengthen connection in a hybrid/remote environment.
  • Partner with leadership on initiatives that support motivation, well-being, and energy.

Systems, Data & Continuous Improvement

  • Own and maintain People systems (HRIS, documentation, policies).
  • Oversee global total rewards programs (e.g., parental leave, sabbatical).
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the employee experience as we scale.
  • Use data and insights (engagement, feedback, trends) to inform decisions and People Team priorities.

Who you are

  • 4–7 years of experience in HR / HRBP/ People & Culture roles, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Experience working with global or distributed teams.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. and Canadian employment practices (compliance awareness required, legal expertise not).
  • Strong people-partnering skills; able to advise managers and build trust quickly.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable; thrives in fast-moving environments.
  • Highly empathetic, approachable, and trusted by employees and leaders alike.
  • Practical and business-minded, yet deeply people-oriented.
  • Excellent communicator, able to adapt tone and approach across cultures and levels.
  • Fluent in French (speaking and writing) - a PLUS.
  • Strong working experience with PEOs, BambooHR, Lattice, Google Workspace, and Slack. Experience with TriNet - a PLUS.

In accordance with the New York Pay Transparency Law, the anticipated annual base salary range for this role is $100,000-$135,000, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to base salary, Bizzabo offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes generous time off benefits, quarterly mental health days, quarterly BizzaBreaks, comprehensive insurance options with generous employer contribution, 401k with employer match, equity program, paid parental leave, and sabbatical leave at milestone BizzaBirthdays.
