About the Role

As a People Operations Specialist, you will be an integral part of the People team and will manage various aspects of HR operations, employee lifecycle management, and play a key role in delivering a world-class employee experience. You’ll be responsible for making sure our processes and systems support our growing needs, ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee data and HR systems and serve as a key point of contact for employee operational questions and/or concerns. The role will be based in one of our New York, Chicago, or San Francisco offices and requires multiple days per week in-person.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions received through People team channels regarding benefits, payroll, policies, and other People Ops-related topics
  • Coordinate onboarding of new employees and welcoming them to Loop
  • Ensure timely administrative execution of new hire onboarding and terminations including paperwork collection and storage, I-9 completion, and HR systems updates 
  • Own all aspects of maintaining employee data throughout the full employee life cycle (including employee changes, organizational updates and audits) and build out systems and processes to ensure data integrity
  • Organize and facilitate performance reviews
  • Manage all administrative processes related to contractor hiring and employment 
  • Collaborate on research and development for people programs and policies to ensure compliance and incorporate employee feedback
  • Review payroll and manage off-cycle and supplemental payments
  • Support benefits and perks administration, employment verifications, workers’ compensation and leave of absence paperwork, and immigration matters 
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders regarding employee initiatives and processes
  • Support and promote our company values and principles

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years previous experience in people operations working with HRIS/HR tools (experience with remote/hybrid organizations and tech start-ups is a plus)
  • Familiarity with HR systems such as Rippling is a plus
  • SHRM or PHR certification is a plus
  • Foundational knowledge of HR-related employment laws
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency with mergers and acquisitions is a plus
