Uncommon Goods is looking for a sharp, strategic, and imaginative Performance Creative Strategist to evolve how we promote our products across paid social and emerging digital marketing channels.

About the Role

This is a new and highly visible role, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of performance marketing, brand storytelling, and social media trends. You’ll be tasked with building and scaling our creative strategy function from the ground up, crafting bold concepts and high-performing content that converts.

You’ll collaborate closely with our internal creative, marketing, and merchandising teams, as well as external creators, influencers, and agencies, to drive campaign performance across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, AppLovin, and others.

This hybrid role involves working on-site at our waterfront Brooklyn location two days a week. It reports to our Chief Marketing & Analytics Officer while working closely with our Marketing Manager.

This is an individual contributor role with high ownership and opportunity for growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the creative strategy for paid social and digital campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and emerging channels.
  • Develop and manage a testing roadmap for creative concepts, messaging angles, and formats, with a focus on driving ROAS.
  • Write clear, concise, creative briefs to guide internal and external creators, designers, and copywriters toward high-performing content.
  • Translate customer insights, seasonal moments, product trends, and cultural relevance into big ideas and smart hypotheses.
  • Identify and collaborate with UGC creators, influencers, and press contacts to produce authentic, high-quality content.
  • Explore and implement AI tools to streamline the production of creative assets (e.g., copywriting assistants, video editors, image generators).
  • Align brand storytelling with performance goals — from video ads and landing pages to campaign messaging and hooks.
  • Collaborate with the paid social team to analyze performance and translate data into creative iteration and optimization.
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, social storytelling formats, and content strategies that drive real action in e-commerce.

Who You Are

  • You have 2–5 years of experience in creative strategy, performance content, or paid social, preferably within e-commerce, DTC, or a creative agency.
  • You’re skilled in creating and optimizing content for Meta and TikTok, with a clear understanding of what performs and why.
  • You’re equal parts storyteller and strategist, able to balance brand voice with conversion goals.
  • You have strong copy instincts; you know what makes a person stop scrolling. Bonus points if you’re comfortable owning copy end-to-end for some campaigns.
  • You’re data-informed, not data-paralyzed;  you use insights to make smart bets and move fast.
  • You’re collaborative, curious, scrappy, and energized by testing, learning, and iterating.
  • You stay up-to-date on creator trends, social media shifts, and emerging content formats that inspire and convert.

Want to help us grow in creative, exciting ways? Join us in crafting the future of performance storytelling at Uncommon Goods.
