About the Position  

The Performance Marketing Assistant plays a key supporting role in executing and maintaining paid social campaigns across The Princeton Review’s test prep and tutoring products. Reporting to the Director of Performance Marketing, this part-time role focuses on in-platform execution, campaign QA, and performance monitoring. 

This position is responsible for ensuring campaigns are launched accurately, running smoothly, and aligned with the marketing calendar. You will assist with campaign setup, audience targeting, testing, and tracking validation while helping the team maintain strong performance and operational rigor. What You'll Do 

Campaign Execution & Setup

  • Review and audit existing campaigns and tracking setup to identify issues or gaps
  • Set up and launch paid social campaigns according to the marketing calendar
  • Implement audience targeting, budgets, A/B tests, and scheduling within ad platforms
  • Assist with light ad creation and editing using Canva or similar tools 

Campaign Monitoring & Optimization

  • Conduct regular campaign checks to ensure ads are live, pacing correctly, and delivering as expected
  • Monitor Meta Pixel and Conversion API (CAPI) for errors and tracking accuracy
  • Assist with campaign optimizations and adjustments based on team direction
  • Flag performance issues or anomalies for review 

Operations & Reporting

  • Provide weekly updates on campaign status, performance metrics, and key observations
  • Maintain clear and organized documentation of campaigns, tests, and changes
  • Support ongoing tracking accuracy and campaign QA processes 

Who You Are  

  • You have 1–3 years of experience working with paid social platforms, especially Meta Ads Manager
  • You are comfortable executing campaigns, setting up targeting, budgets, and basic A/B tests
  • You have a foundational understanding of performance metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPA, and ROAS
  • You are familiar with Meta Pixel and/or Conversion API (CAPI) and understand basic tracking concepts
  • You are highly detail-oriented and able to follow processes with precision
  • You are organized and able to manage multiple tasks across campaigns
  • You are comfortable working independently in ad platforms with clear direction
  • You have basic creative skills and experience using Canva or similar tools
  • You communicate clearly and provide concise updates on progress and performance
  • You are eager to learn and grow within performance marketing
