POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Planner, you will support the success of our assortment and inventory strategy by driving data-driven merchandise planning. This role requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of sales trends, inventory management, and financial forecasting. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure inventory investments align with business objectives. This role is based in our NYC corporate office (3 days in office.)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- SALES PLANNING
- Maintain and update weekly and monthly sales plans by channel.
- Assist in preparing sales performance recaps and trend analyses for leadership.
- REPORTING & ANALYSIS
- Generate and manage weekly/monthly reporting at the department and category levels.
- Analyze seasonal and collection performance, identifying key hits, misses, risks, and opportunities.
- Support seasonal KPI reporting across departments, collections, and channels.
- Provide data-driven insights on potential risks within departments/categories.
- Analyze sales productivity and collaborate on strategies to optimize inventory and sales potential.
- INVENTORY AND OTB MANAGEMENT
- Assist in managing seasonal, core, and carryover inventory to align with sales plans.
- Support inventory planning for new store openings.
- Maintain and update sales and receipt plans by location and/or category.
- Contribute to OTB forecasting by tracking trends, evaluating stock-to-sales ratios, and optimizing receipt flow.
- Monitor and maintain OTB inventory levels to support sales plans.
- SEASONAL BUDGET
- Assist in building seasonal budgets in partnership with the Merchandising team.
- Conduct pre-season analysis and contribute to seasonal planning and finalization.
- REPLENISHMENT
- Provide data and recommendations for replenishment targets to maintain OTB levels.
- Re-forecast replenishment demand monthly and support buy execution based on lead times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide forecasting updates.
ABOUT YOU
- 3-4+ years of planning or buying experience
- High level of conceptual creative ability. Strong product sense with proven experience in driving product assortments and partnering with divisional leaders to lead investment strategies that drive business
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Embraces a culture of learning and advocacy
- Has lived experiences with people from different backgrounds and diverse teams
- Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000
Compensation for the role will be determined based candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
