As a Platform Engineer at Celonis, you will join the team building the very backbone of our platform. This role offers real ownership over critical infrastructure decisions that impact our entire engineering organization.
The RoleYou will operate at a massive scale, managing solutions for hundreds of Kubernetes clusters and millions of cloud resources across all three major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, and GCP. We are looking for engineers with a bias for action who can balance speed with long-term goals and isn't afraid to take on complex challenges with independence and curiosity.
The work you'll do- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Develop tools that enable managing hundreds of Kubernetes clusters and millions of cloud resources.
- Ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency of platform offerings.
- Drive critical infrastructure initiatives and projects, directly influencing the architectural direction and operational excellence of the entire engineering organization.
- Set and maintain software engineering standards; mentor and coach engineers.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Computing, DevOps, or SRE.
- A proactive, curious, and independent working style with a strong sense of ownership.
- Real-world experience operating highly available services in Kubernetes.
- Experience with at least one of the following cloud providers: AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Proficiency in Python or Go.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, CI/CD.
- Experience operating Kubernetes clusters is a strong plus.
- Experience extending Kubernetes (e.g., writing operators) is a strong plus.
- Expertise in at least one of the following domains: Observability, Security, or Developer. Experience (DevExp).

Total compensation package will include base salary + bonus/commission + equity + benefits (health, dental, life, 401k, and paid time off). Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and that the actual total compensation offer will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, experiences, and location.
