The Lazard Emerging Markets Equity team is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Portfolio Analyst to help support the servicing and development of both new and existing client relationships. The individual will primarily assist with the preparation of marketing materials including client and new business presentations. 

We’ll trust you to:

  • Work independently and in conjunction with senior team members to develop and maintain accurate new business and client servicing materials, including portfolio commentaries, pitch decks and quarterly letters from the manager.
  • Assist with ad-hoc portfolio team requests as well as with RFPs/DDQs/RFIs.
  • Liaise with leadership, sales, marketing, legal, compliance, and other internal functions to effectively communicate, complete and manage multiple dynamic projects.
  • Learn and adapt to anticipate needs of our team and clients.
  • Assist with commentaries and other client requests.
  • Attend team meetings to understand markets, our investment ideas, and performance drivers.

 

You’ll need to have:

  • 1-3 years of experience working in and around investment teams.
  • Demonstrated passion for and understanding financial markets.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel experience, and experience building data-driven presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Knowledge of Emerging Markets and an understanding of the strategies we manage is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Portfolio Analytics (such as attribution and/or risk analytics) and Factset. 
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills (responsive, inquisitive) as well as decision-making and analytical abilities.
  • A can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate across mediums and geographies seamlessly.
  • Strong project management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • CFA designation and data analysis skills, such as Python, VBA, SQL a plus.

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $90,000-$120,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
