Our Client is a rapidly growing Global Private Markets firm who provides customized investment and advisory solutions to some of the most sophisticated investors in the world. With $640 billion of total capital allocations, including $143 billion in AUM, we are highly diversified in the private markets across the globe and provide creative solutions to solve for the objectives of any investment program. With a culture built on entrepreneurialism, partnership and being a team within teams, our client offers joiners the opportunity to think out loud, collaboratively.

We are building out a new Portfolio Management function responsible for institutionalizing how our client monitors, manages and governs their portfolios across private markets.  This role sits at the center of the platform, working alongside investment teams, capital markets, treasury, and client solutions. The focus is on liquidity management, portfolio analytics, and operating model design — building the processes, data infrastructure, and governance framework that support decision-making at scale.

This is not a steady-state role. The mandate is highly project-based and execution-driven, with significant time spent on the ground working across teams to push key initiatives forward. The role will help shape the function in real time — building processes, standing up data tools, and implementing operating model improvements as the platform evolves.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and enhance forward-looking cash flow forecasting methodologies, improving how capital calls, distributions, and funding needs are projected across portfolios
  • Track deployment pipeline and portfolio cash flows to ensure forward visibility
  • Identify and manage liquidity mismatches; recommend actions (pacing, financing, etc.)
  • Build and maintain portfolio monitoring frameworks (exposures, performance, risk)
  • Develop models and tools for liquidity forecasting and portfolio analytics
  • Structure and standardize fragmented data to support consistent, decision-ready reporting
  • Translate analysis into clear insights for portfolio reviews and senior leadership
  • Establish governance routines (liquidity reviews, risk reviews, reporting cycles)
  • Define and implement RACI across Portfolio Management, Investment Teams, Treasury, and Ops
  • Own the “single source of truth” for key portfolio inputs (liquidity, commitments, leverage, exposures)
  • Build scalable workflows and reporting infrastructure to reduce friction across teams
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, working directly with teams to implement and embed solutions

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years in portfolio management, analytics, treasury/liquidity, or private markets
  • Understanding of fund mechanics (capital calls, distributions, leverage facilities) and portfolio construction dynamics
  • Experience in a multi-strategy private markets platform (e.g., secondaries, co-invest, fund of funds)
  • Exposure to data tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, SQL/Snowflake)
  • Experience building processes, data tools, or operating models
  • Ability to translate analysis into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong analytical and modeling capabilities (Excel required; exposure to data tools a plus)
  • Experience working across teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Organized and process-oriented, with the ability to bring structure to ambiguous situations
