Cerity Partners is looking for a Portfolio Reporting Manager to lead the systems that power performance reporting for our advisors and clients. You'll own the Addepar and Orion platforms end-to-end — guiding a team, shaping how new advisors get onboarded, and making sure every client sees accurate, timely reporting. This is a role with real ownership: your decisions on process and platform directly shape the client experience across the firm.

Primary Responsibilities:

Portfolio Reporting & Platform Support

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance for the portfolio reporting function, serving as a key resource for team members using the reporting platforms.

  • Lead or support the coordination of reporting workflows to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client reporting.

  • Support the Addepar and Orion systems used for client performance reporting, including:

    • New account setup, including coding, linking to custodians, and ensuring proper reporting of all investments.

    • Daily updates and reconciliation.

    • Monitoring reporting and integration of alternative assets.

    • Monthly performance updates.

    • Proactively monitoring dashboards to ensure system integrity and data accuracy.

  • Maintain a working understanding of the metrics, calculations, key user workflows, and operational processes involved in the end-to-end maintenance of the reporting platforms.

  • Document required processes for ongoing system support, participate in requirements gathering for ongoing system updates, and help facilitate user integration and acceptance testing.

New Advisor Integration

Support the integration of new advisors onto the Orion and Addepar systems, including:

  • Establish clients and accounts.

  • Link accounts to custodians.

  • Coordinate conversion of historical transactions, balances, and performance.

  • Reconcile historical conversions.

  • Populate custom attributes.

  • In conjunction with users, create and test client packages.

  • Ensure adequate internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Team Support & Process Improvement:

  • Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and mentorship to portfolio reporting team members, serving as a resource for questions, problem-solving, and best practices.

  • Help prioritize and coordinate team workflows to ensure deadlines, reporting requirements, and client needs are consistently met.

  • Review work and provide constructive feedback to promote accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead knowledge-sharing efforts and help develop team members' understanding of portfolio reporting processes, systems, and workflows.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex reporting, data, and system-related issues.

  • Partner with Management to identify team needs, address operational challenges, and recommend improvements to processes and workflows.

  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects involving Portfolio Reporting, Technology, Operations, Advisors, and other internal teams.

  • Support onboarding and training of new team members, helping ensure they develop the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively support the reporting function.

  • Assist with improvement projects, ad-hoc projects, and assigned research projects.

  • Maintain written procedures covering all aspects of the position.

  • Continuously identify potential solutions and efficiencies to improve processes and workflows.

  • Serve as a resource to team members and contribute to a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; experience in financial services preferred.

  • 7–10 years of related investment services industry experience preferred.

  • Leadership experience, including leading projects, mentoring team members, or overseeing operational workflows within a reporting, operations, or financial services environment.

  • Experience with portfolio accounting and performance management software such as Addepar and Orion a plus.

  • Experience using Salesforce.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Proven history of being a self-starter, with a track record of working effectively in a remote/virtual environment with a distributed team.

  • Ability to manage up and have direct, open, and progressive conversations with Management and Partners across the firm.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented approach to addressing opportunities and challenges.

  • Team player who welcomes feedback and is committed to continuous improvement.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication, professional presentation, and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to step in wherever needed to ensure work is completed accurately and on time, with an attitude that no task is too small.

  • Strong proficiency with technology and business applications, including Microsoft Excel.

Compensation:

$130,000 - $160,000
