This is a 3-month contract opportunity with potential extensions based on business needs for one of Arctiq's clients. It's a remote position working EST hours. 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Power BI Developer to lead enterprise-scale analytics initiatives from strategy through implementation. This role will own the design, development, and governance of business intelligence solutions across the Power BI and Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, partnering closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to deliver measurable, trusted, and scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute enterprise-scale analytics initiatives, from strategy through implementation, with a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes
  • Engage confidently with senior business and technology stakeholders, building consensus and driving results across the organization
  • Drive KPI standardization and lead analytics modernization efforts across complex organizations
  • Design and optimize complex SQL queries and large-scale data models to support enterprise reporting needs
  • Apply expert-level query design and performance optimization practices across high-volume datasets
  • Own the full Power BI development lifecycle, including semantic modeling and DAX development for complex business logic
  • Architect enterprise dashboards and reports built for scale and usability
  • Design row-level security (RLS) to support data access and compliance requirements
  • Manage dataflows, datasets, and workspace governance
  • Enable self-service analytics, empowering business users with governed, trusted data
  • Design, build, and implement Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions
  • Develop and orchestrate data pipelines, including OneLake storage management
  • Build Fabric notebooks leveraging Spark-based transformations for large-scale data processing
  • Manage deployment pipelines supporting structured promotion across Dev, Test, and Production environments
  • Own workspace governance and capacity management aligned to enterprise standards
  • Apply data governance, data quality, and metadata management best practices across all BI deliverables

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data strategy, with a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes
  • Demonstrated success leading and executing enterprise-scale analytics initiatives from strategy through implementation
  • Proven ability to build consensus and drive results, engaging confidently with senior business and technology stakeholders
  • Expert SQL skills encompassing complex query design, performance optimization, and large-scale data modeling
  • Expert-level Power BI proficiency across the full development lifecycle, including semantic modeling, DAX, enterprise dashboard architecture, RLS, dataflows/dataset management, and self-service enablement
  • Hands-on experience across the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, including Lakehouse/Data Warehouse design, pipeline development, Fabric notebooks (Spark), deployment pipelines, and workspace governance
  • Strong foundation in data governance, data quality, and metadata management best practices
  • Background in fintech, financial services, or another highly regulated industry, with an understanding of compliance and data sensitivity requirements
  • Experience driving KPI standardization and leading analytics modernization efforts across complex organizations
  • Looker experience is a meaningful differentiator — candidates with hands-on Looker development experience and direct involvement in a Looker-to-Power BI migration will be given strong preference
