Build, migrate, and optimize analytics solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. Develop data pipelines, semantic models, dashboards, and automated refresh and deployment processes. Partner with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver governed, secure, high-performing reporting solutions. Maintain workspace and tenant administration, troubleshoot issues, and modernize existing Power BI assets using lakehouse, medallion, star schema, and dimensional modeling practices.
The Power BI & Microsoft Fabric Engineer will support and modernize the company’s analytics and reporting platform. This hands-on contract role is responsible for building, migrating, and optimizing BI solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. In this role you will partner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop end-to-end data pipelines, semantic models, and dashboards, and maintain a reporting environment that is performant, secure, and well governed.

- Migrate and modernize existing Power BI assets into Microsoft Fabric.
- Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Apply best practices for performance, security, governance, and workspace management.
- Automate data refreshes, deployments, and monitoring processes.
- Troubleshoot issues and optimize BI and analytics performance.
- Support other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll bring
- C1 English level
- 5+ years of experience in BI and Microsoft Fabric, data engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure data platforms, including Data Lake or Synapse.
- Solid understanding of modern data architecture concepts, including lakehouse, medallion, star schema, and dimensional modeling.
- Strong SQL skills and experience transforming data with T-SQL, Spark, or Python.
- Experience with source control, deployment pipelines, and workspace or tenant administration.
