Overview
- This position involves direct ownership of datasets and research initiatives.
- This role is execution-focused and involves working with members of the Power Market Analyst team to strategize broader improvements to data collection, in addition to leading research and data cleanup initiatives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive benchmarks and quality standards across client facing datasets including data coverage, data accuracy, and timeliness of delivery.
- Continuously identify, prioritize, and rectify errors, inconsistencies, and redundancies within the data.
- Investigate and solve the underlying reasons behind data anomalies, errors, and inconsistencies in the data and services.
- Complete QA/QC analysis on outputs, document statistics, and communicate if data is within an acceptable threshold. Partner with internal team to suggest new QA/QC measures to further enhance detection of poor data.
- Support prioritization by analyzing and interpreting large disparate data sets to determine potential enhancement impacts and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with client-facing teams to review client questions and feedback - identify root issues and either work through responses or move to product/Engineering team
- Craft clear, impactful client-facing content that explains how to leverage our platform's capabilities more effectively for customer workflows.

- Creates meaningful metrics to assess project performance and summarize project findings for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent technical, analytical and communication skills.
- High energy level, self-motivated, and critical problem solving.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office products, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and others.
- Beginner-to-intermediate experience with Python, SQL, and/or other data analysis tools is a plus.
- Strong project planning skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Experience leveraging large datasets for advanced analysis.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and lead them to completion with help of the team.
- Mid-level understanding of the power generation and distribution industry.
- Supervision of this role is minimal for typical day-to-day work; a person in this role is trusted to deliver on daily/weekly/monthly responsibilities effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies.

- Able to lift up to 35 pounds safely.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Consistent and predictable attendance.
- Remote-based work with no regular travel expectations
