About The Role:

We are seeking an exceptional technical leader to serve as our Principal/Distinguished Engineer for Cloud Security Architecture. This role is perfect for a seasoned engineer who thrives at the intersection of large-scale cloud infrastructure, security, and developer enablement.

What You'll Do:

  • Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Design and architect enterprise-scale cloud security solutions handling trillions of data points

  • Lead cloud infrastructure strategy across AWS, Kubernetes, and multi-cloud environments

  • Drive technical vision for security tooling and platform engineering initiatives

  • Serve as the highest-level individual contributor and technical authority

  • Platform Engineering & Developer Experience

  • Build and lead platform engineering teams focused on developer productivity

  • Design AI-powered automation for dependency management, SDK migrations, and deployment optimization

  • Create internal tooling that dramatically improves engineering velocity

  • Establish unified security policies across wide ranging product portfolios

  • Lead greenfield initiatives and early customer integrations

  • Translate complex technical concepts into business value

  • Mentor engineering teams on emerging technologies, particularly AI integration

  • Serve as technical evangelist both internally and externally

  • Present at industry conferences and technical forums

  • Coach and mentor engineers across the organization

What You'll Need:

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience with 8+ years in senior technical leadership

  • Deep expertise in cloud security architecture (AWS, Kubernetes, microservices)

  • Proven track record building and scaling infrastructure handling massive data volumes

  • Experience with security technologies: identity management, SSO, network security, endpoint protection

  • Strong background in both hardware and software optimization

  • Patent holder or significant technical innovation experience

Bonus Points:

  • Experience at high-growth security companies

  • Background in compiler design, ASIC development, or low-level optimization

  • Track record of successful product launches and customer acquisition

  • Active in security research community and technical conferences

  • Experience with AI/ML integration in development workflows

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $235,000 - $350,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
