Job Duties and Responsibilities

Principal Engineer – Software sought by DISH Network, LLC in Englewood, CO. 

 

Analyze, Design and build applications and data pipelines. Define standards and procedures for, and design data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes for both batch and real-time data. Design DataLakes and Data Warehouses, and work with databases. Write advanced SQL queries, including performance tuning, to support data analysis and application needs. Evaluate and resolve production issues and provide daily technical support to team members and collaborate with offshore team as required. Handle the entire software development lifecycle for data warehouse applications, from requirements analysis to implementation, testing, and debugging. Build self Service Reports and Dashboards in tools like Orbit Analytics, Tableau. Automation of delivery of such reports over email, web based access or file system delivery.


Skills, Experience and Requirements

Requires Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field plus 5 years of experience in job offered or similar roles. Also requires experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):

 

  • Redshift, and Snowflake.  (5 years)
  • ETL processes. (5 years)
  • Oracle and SQL Server. (5 years)
  • Teradata. (5 years)
  • SQL, Python, and Linux/Unix shell scripting. (5 years)
  • Control-M. (5 years)
  • AWS services.  (3 years)
  • Orbit or Tableau. (1 year)

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $169,062.00/Year - $169,062.00/Year
Benefits

Rate of Pay: $169,062.00.
