Own strategic product initiatives across Calico, Lynx, and emerging AI-focused products. Define product vision and roadmaps, competitive positioning, go-to-market strategy, customer discovery, messaging, and cross-functional execution from MVP through general availability and revenue. Partner with engineering, sales, marketing, customers, and ecosystem partners to deliver enterprise infrastructure, Kubernetes networking, security, and AI capabilities.

Tigera secures AI agents on any Kubernetes platform, from the kernel with eBPF. With Tigera Lynx, enterprises run AI agents in production and stay in control: Lynx discovers every agent, governs every call, contains any agent that steps out of line, and keeps a record of what each one did.

Tigera created Project Calico, which secures more than 8 million Kubernetes nodes every day, and the commercial Calico platform is trusted by Global 2000 enterprises including NVIDIA, Royal Bank of Canada, Chipotle, Bloomberg, and GoDaddy.

If you are looking to help make a substantial impact, and our values and products align with your vision of your career growth, we want to hear from you!

About Your Role

A once-in-a-decade shift is reshaping enterprise infrastructure. Enterprises are taking AI applications and AI agents from pilot to production,  deploying autonomous agents that act on behalf of users, call tools and other agents, form delegation chains, and process untrusted input. Running this new generation of workloads at scale on Kubernetes places intense new demands on the network.

Tigera is meeting that moment on two fronts. Calico is evolving into the L3/L4 networking and security foundation purpose-built to connect and secure AI workloads and agents. Lynx, a unified control plane for Kubernetes-native AI agents, adds agent-aware control at the kernel and L7 layers discovering, authenticating, authorizing, and governing every agent action. These agents don’t behave like the workloads enterprise security stacks were built for and securing them has become one of the most urgent unsolved problems in the enterprise.

We are hiring a Senior / Staff Product Manager to help drive the strategy and evolution of the Tigera platform. This is a senior role spanning strategy through execution: you will shape product direction, contribute to go-to-market, and partner directly with engineering, sales, marketing, and ecosystem partners to bring new capabilities to market. You will take ownership of key, high-impact areas within our flagship initiatives, with Lynx as the primary focus, and extending into the evolution of Calico as the L3/L4 network and security layer for AI workloads and agents, You will be working alongside fellow product managers and company leadership, and taking on additional areas as the business grows.

For this position, we are looking to hire in the San Francisco Bay Area (US), hybrid at our San Francisco or San Jose office.

San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range: USD $200,000 - $240,000 (inclu bonus)

You Will Own:

  • Key areas of the product vision & roadmap for Tigera’s flagship initiatives, owning specific, high-impact workstreams within Lynx’s kernel and L7-layer control (for example, areas such as agent discovery, identity, authorization, runtime enforcement, or observability) and contributing to the evolution of Calico as the L3/L4 network and security layer that connects and secures AI workloads and agents.
  • Competitive positioning for the areas you own, across two fronts: the emerging AI agent security category, where you’ll help define the narrative for Lynx (“a unified control plane for Kubernetes-native AI agents,” “guardrails, not gates”); and the Kubernetes networking and security market, where Calico leads with platform value for connecting and securing AI workloads - unified networking, best-in-class microsegmentation, DNS policy, cluster-mesh, observability - rather than competing feature-for-feature at the dataplane layer.
  • Go-to-market contribution across both sales-led motions (sales enablement, crisp platform pitches, close partnership with sales on qualified opportunities) and partner-led motions with the ecosystem of identity (Entra ID, Okta, SPIFFE/SPIRE), service mesh (Istio), and platform and infrastructure partners.
  • Customer discovery & validation with enterprise accounts, including the banks and Global 2000 security teams already adopting Lynx — running structured interviews to pressure-test and falsify assumptions before committing engineering resources.
  • Cross-functional execution with engineering on scope and delivery, and with marketing on messaging discipline and campaigns that shape market perception.
  • Messaging & positioning discipline for building canonical positioning artifacts for your areas and helping drive consistency in how the product is described across the organization, to customers, and in the market.

You Have

  • 8+ years in product management, including senior/principal-level ownership of technical infrastructure or security products, with a track record of taking products from vision to GA and revenue.
  • AI Fluency - extensive knowledge of LLM, MCP, tool-calling, and AI infrastructure, such as LLM Gateway, Inference Gateway, A2A protocol
  • Kubernetes and cloud-native networking/security expertise - network policy, microsegmentation, kernel-level enforcement (eBPF), zero-trust identity (OIDC, SPIFFE/SPIRE), and L7/service-mesh policy.
  • Sharp competitive and positioning instincts - able to build canonical positioning artifacts (single-line description, problem/audience, category framing, differentiators, explicit “what it is not” boundaries) and enforce messaging consistency across the org.
  • Enterprise GTM range - comfortable enabling sales, engaging senior technical and security buyers (CISOs, platform and AI leaders) at large enterprises, and driving partner co-selling.
  • Discovery-driven and evidence-based - you pressure-test assumptions with customer interviews and prioritize by revenue impact rather than work type.
  • Collaborative owner and crisp operator - structured, low-friction, and factually disciplined; you take clear ownership of your areas while partnering well across a larger product org, and move quickly from insight to a decision-ready artifact.

With offices in San Francisco, San Jose, Vancouver (Canada), Cork (Ireland), and London (England), we have a thriving team of diverse individuals from all over the world. We believe in a collaborative, flexible work environment based on respect for, and commitment from, every employee. We also offer a competitive compensation package along with full health, vision, and dental benefits. These benefits, coupled with an amazing team of individuals who believe in our mission and value openness, collaboration, and teamwork, make Tigera an awesome place to work.
