About Inspiren

Inspiren offers the most complete and connected ecosystem in senior living. Founded by Michael Wang, a former Green Beret turned cardiothoracic nurse, Inspiren proves that compassionate care and technology can coexist - bringing peace of mind to residents, families, and staff.

Our integrated solutions seamlessly fit into existing workflows, capturing everything happening within a community. Backed by nurse specialists and powerful analytics, we provide the data operators need to make informed clinical and operational decisions - driving efficiency, profitability, and better care outcomes.

About the Role

We're looking for a product leader who can both set a clear direction and drive it to completion — someone equally at home in a strategy conversation and a customer call, and who doesn't hand off the hard parts.

Your primary focus is independent living and how it translates into adjacent markets in the future. You’ll own the strategy and roadmap for how Inspiren enters and wins in this market — understanding what residents and operators in IL actually need, making clear decisions about what we build and why, and seeing those bets through to launch and beyond. This is a real, near‑term opportunity in a category with massive expansion potential. There are hundreds of thousands of seniors in independent living today, over one million in assisted living and memory care, and tens of millions aging outside traditional care settings in the US alone, and you’ll have the autonomy to define how we expand our footprint across this landscape.

Over time, you'll also help explore what comes next, new segments, new use cases, new opportunities, working directly alongside our Head of Product. You won't be doing that work alone, but you'll be a genuine partner in shaping where Inspiren goes.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. The strategy has to be grounded, the execution has to be sharp, and you'll be accountable for both.

What you’ll do

  • Define the direction for independent living. Own the strategy and roadmap for how Inspiren approaches the IL market which problems we solve, for whom, and in what order. Build the case for the bets we make, and make sure the team understands the "why" behind them.
  • Lead discovery and validation. Don't delegate the hard work of understanding what customers need. Talk to operators and residents directly. Use AI to build prototypes and run experiments fast to get to something real that customers can react to, rather than waiting on traditional handoffs. Know when a bet is ready to move into build, and make that call.
  • Own execution and launch. Take validated ideas from 0→1 and through launch, working closely with Engineering, Design, Commercial, and Clinical Success. Stay close after launch and use real-world signals to adapt quickly and sequence follow-on investments well.
  • Explore new opportunities alongside the Head of Product. As the IL business matures, partner with the Head of Product to evaluate what's next - new markets, segments, and use cases.
  • Communicate well across the organization. Keep stakeholders aligned without over-engineering it. Make it easy for Engineering, Commercial, Clinical Success, and leadership to understand where things stand, what the risks are, and what decisions need to be made.
  • Manage and grow the product team. Directly manage product manager(s), providing clear expectations, coaching, and feedback. Help them develop strong product judgment, execution rigor, and discovery skills that raise the bar for the whole team.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with meaningful ownership of products from concept through launch, not just roadmap management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work at both levels: building a strategic direction and rolling up your sleeves to drive it through execution with a cross-functional team.
  • Strong discovery instincts with comfort running customer research yourself, not just synthesizing what others bring back.
  • Experience with hardware-enabled or sensor-based products, or comparable complex multi-surface products in real-world environments.
  • Demonstrated, systematic use of AI that has meaningfully changed how you work including reusable workflows that have raised your speed and quality of output.
  • A track record of decisions with visible consequences: customer outcomes, revenue, retention, or operational impact.
  • Clear, direct communicator who can align technical and non-technical stakeholders without overcomplicating it.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in senior living, health tech, or other regulated or safety-critical environments where reliability and trust matter.
Experience building or extending hardware-enabled AI or computer vision products that rely on real-time device data.
Experience in startup or growth-stage environments.
    Experience managing other product managers.

Details

  • The annual salary for this role is $230,000–$280,000 + equity + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).
  • Flexible PTO.
  • Location: Remote, US. NYC preferred.
