Summary:

Are you looking for an opportunity to build market-changing products? The Principal Product Manager, Audit AI role leads the delivery of end-to-end product experiences that revolutionize the financial statement audit process for U.S. tax & accounting professionals.

Your mission will be to harness the power of AI and key technologies to create an automated and connected audit workflow experience across our broad portfolio of award-winning audit products and capabilities. This mission serves our wider vision to create the most connected, automated, insight-driven, open ecosystem that makes tax, accounting, and audit professionals more successful and delights their clients. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Product Management for Audit in the Accounting, Tax, Practice & Audit Product team, supporting the Tax, Accounting, and Audit Professionals business.

Thomson Reuters leads at the intersection of content and technology with trusted data, workflow automation, and AI. TR has a bold vision to be the leader in AI-powered, content-driven technology, and the Principal Product Manager, AI Audit, will work closely with colleagues from Product, Design, Engineering, and AI Engineering teams who are already dedicated to delivering on this mission. Teams are working closely with customers to create a product experience that is unmatched in the market today. In this role, you will collaborate with leaders and stakeholders from these teams to refine our product strategy and roadmap, while also playing a hands-on leadership role in inspiring and guiding cross-functional, distributed product teams through product discovery and delivery.

About the Role

As a Principal Product Manager, you will find that no two days or hours are alike and will include engaging with customers to understand their needs and promote our vision, advocating with internal stakeholders, refining product strategy, defining and acting on product metrics, creating business cases, roadmap planning, AI-assisted prototyping and rapid iteration, experimenting with and spreading new AI-enabled ways of working, and more. You will have the opportunity and be accountable for maximizing customer and business value with our AI-powered audit experience.

As a Principal Product Manager, you will:

  • Develop strong product intuition by interpreting and assessing customer problems, business needs, and opportunities, and offering potential solutions with a minimum level of guidance and direction.

  • Build world-class capabilities and products by creating a vision for the product, maintaining the product roadmap, and partnering closely with other product managers, designers, and technology teams to execute the roadmap and deliver efficiently. This includes using AI tools to prototype, research, and validate ideas rapidly, bringing customer insight and your own hands-on experimentation to shape what the team builds, and using metrics to monitor and measure progress.

  • Demonstrate leadership by taking extreme ownership of assigned audit products, their performance and reliability, and delighting our clients with a positive experience. You will show that you can learn from your experiences, recover from setbacks, and effectively evangelize the product vision to colleagues and customers.

  • You will be a well-rounded AI expert from your previous experience delivering new AI-based products and by staying on the cutting edge of AI and technology development. You will use this experience and knowledge to inspire teams to ideate and experiment with applying AI, and sharing your unique perspective on how AI can propel the tax, accounting, and audit profession through written and live communication with TR teams and customers.

About You

To be successful in achieving these goals, you will be:

  • Curious & Innovative, starting with an obsession for our customers' problems and needs, working closely with customers, partners, and other Thomson Reuters colleagues to solve them in compelling ways.

  • Agile with a strong sense of urgency and a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to deliver solutions against strict timelines, unafraid of failure.

  • An effective communicator who projects confidence and communicates concisely and clearly to management, peers, customers, and partners.

Foundational Skills

  • Strong data analysis skills and comfort with quantitative analysis

  • Proven track record of shipping impactful AI products at scale

  • Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate across many different teams and personalities, both internal and external

  • Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
