    In This Role

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end user experience strategy for large-scale, consumer-facing web ecosystems. You will translate business objectives, customer insights, and technical constraints into intuitive and accessible experiences that work at global scale. You will define UX vision and principles, guide information architecture, influence cross-functional teams, and champion design systems that enforce consistency, accessibility, and performance. You will drive adoption of modern UX approaches—including AI-powered personalization and agent-assisted experiences—while ensuring designs are rooted in data, measurable outcomes, and long-term product strategy.

    Responsibilities

    UX Strategy & Leadership

    • Define and evolve the holistic UX vision, principles, and north-star experiences for consumer-facing web products.
    • Lead the end-to-end redesign of complex web journeys with measurable outcomes such as improved conversion, reduced drop-off, and enhanced task completion.
    • Analyze user needs, constraints, and technical feasibility to recommend the most effective UX approach within timelines and budgets.
    • Conduct competitive research, heuristic reviews, and user studies to identify opportunities and pain points.
    • Create journey maps, personas, storyboards, and frameworks that connect user behavior to business impact.
    • Establish measurable UX success criteria and use data to guide decisions and validate hypotheses.
    • Advocate for accessible, scalable, performant, and user-centered experiences across digital surfaces.

    Information Architecture (IA)

    • Research and model how users navigate and consume content across web platforms.
    • Create and maintain sitemaps, user flows, taxonomy frameworks, metadata structures, and navigation models.
    • Ensure content hierarchy and IA decisions support discoverability, consistency, and ease of use across all touchpoints.

    Design Systems & Component Leadership

    • Lead creation or evolution of enterprise-level design systems, including tokens, typography, motion, accessibility standards, and reusable components.
    • Partner closely with engineering to implement scalable frameworks and enforce design consistency through tools such as Storybook, linters, CI validation, and governance processes.
    • Establish usage guidelines, adoption plans, and success metrics for system maturity and compliance.

    Cross-Functional Influence

    • Collaborate with engineering, analytics, product, content, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive and unified experiences.
    • Present UX strategies, research findings, and recommendations to senior leadership audiences.
    • Influence roadmaps and business decisions without direct authority by introducing clarity, frameworks, and data-backed reasoning.
    • Navigate executive pushback by using customer insights and UX principles while maintaining strong relationships.

    Governance & Operations

    • Define standards for accessibility (WCAG), performance, usability, and content quality.
    • Build and maintain UX governance assets such as guidelines, playbooks, pattern libraries, and operational frameworks.
    • Partner with operations, engineering, and vendor management teams to ensure external partners deliver work aligned with UX standards.

    Thought Leadership & Education

    • Educate non-UX stakeholders on modern UX best practices and the value of customer-centered design.
    • Communicate design decisions with strong storytelling, clarity, and principled reasoning.
    • Provide an informed POV on what “good” looks like for large-scale consumer web experiences.

     Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Design, or a related technical field.
    • 10+ years of UX/UI design experience for web-based digital products.
    • Proven success leading end-to-end redesigns of complex journeys with measurable improvements.
    • Strong expertise in:
      • User research
      • Information architecture
      • Design systems and component frameworks
      • Responsive UI patterns
    • Experience collaborating in cross-functional environments with product, engineering, analytics, and content teams.
    • Strong communication, storytelling, and leadership skills—especially when influencing senior audiences.
    • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, simple, elegant interface designs.
    • Track record of sustained ownership of a major product, journey, or surface for multiple years.

     Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience designing for large-scale consumer web ecosystems or multi-locale digital platforms.
    • Familiarity with AI-powered UX patterns (personalization, conversational interactions, agent-based navigation, intelligent recommendations).
    • Experience conducting A/B tests and working with experimentation or UX measurement frameworks.
    • Expertise in accessibility standards (WCAG), performance optimization, and content strategy.
    • Experience contributing to or building enterprise-level design systems.
    • Background in front-end development or prototyping using HTML/CSS/JavaScript or equivalent tools.
    • Experience with consumer tech, hardware platforms, or multi-region sites with complex content and scalability requirements.
