THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a passionate, customer-facing Privacy Specialist to support our expanding privacy product line. As the first Privacy Specialist at Cyera, you will work cross-functionally across sales, customer success, product, and marketing to help bring our privacy vision to life for customers.

You’ll serve as the go-to privacy expert, driving pre-sales efforts, implementation, and early adoption of Cyera’s privacy operations platform (e.g., data mapping, RoPA, consent, privacy assessments).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer & Field Engagement

• Act as the primary privacy subject matter expert (SME) supporting the field team during pre-sales and post-sales cycles.
• Engage directly with prospects and customers to understand requirements, demonstrate platform capabilities, and advise on building privacy workflows.
• Lead the rollout of privacy features with customers.
• Guide efforts to implement end-to-end privacy operations processes, such as data mapping, records of processing activities, and more.

Product & Technical Expertise

• Serve as a power user and solution architect for the privacy operations product.
• Gather feedback on enhancements, customer needs, and challenges.

Go-to-Market & Enablement

• Collaborate with Product Marketing and Enablement to develop collateral, technical guides, demos, and blog content.
• Create internal enablement materials to upskill field teams on privacy features.
• Work with Customer Success to mature and maintain scalable onboarding playbooks and reusable templates for DSR onboarding.

Strategy, Insights & Market Intelligence

• Track privacy regulatory trends (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.) and advise the field and product recommendations.
• Support competitive intelligence and help inform the product roadmap.
• Measure success metrics such as customer adoption, deal influence, and platform ROI.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience in a privacy engineering, pre-sales, privacy consultant, or technical implementation role.
• Hands-on knowledge of privacy laws, regulations and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CPRA).
• Familiarity with privacy tools (OneTrust, DataGrail, Transcend, etc.).
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical features into business value.
• Experience working with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment.



COMPENSATION INFORMATION: 

In addition to a standard benefits and equity package, we offer a generous salary. Final compensation will vary based on seniority and relevance of experience, location, and position requirements.

This role may be eligible for potential merit increases based on factors such as individual or company performance, time in role, and other discretionary factors.​
