The Deposits & Custody business is one of the cornerstone of our Private Bank, responsible for the safekeeping of assets, strategic cash management, and optimizing account structures for our clients. With a global footprint of over ~650Billion in balances across deposits and Custody, our platform is central to helping clients achieve their personal and financial goals while supporting the firm's balance sheet strength.

Role Summary
Reporting to the Global head of Lending and Banking, the Global Head of Deposits & Custody will be a senior business leader responsible for the end-to-end management of deposit and custody products and services for J.P. Morgan Private Bank clients globally. This includes oversight of sales, product development, platform modernization, and operational delivery across multiple regions (US, EMEA, Asia, LatAm).
The successful candidate will set and execute the strategic vision for the business, ensuring that deposit and custody solutions are innovative, client-centric, and aligned with the evolving needs of our clients. The role requires strong leadership, the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies, and a focus on optimizing the firm's balance sheet while delivering exceptional client experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership & Growth
    • Develop and execute a global strategy to accelerate deposit and custody inflows, drive product innovation, and optimize the firm's balance sheet.
    • Lead a diverse, international team of deposit sales specialists, product managers, and custody professionals across major hubs (New York, London, Singapore, Mumbai, Geneva, etc.).
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Product & Platform Innovation
    • Oversee the design, development, and launch of differentiated deposit and custody products for H/UHNW individuals, Family Offices, and institutional clients.
    • Champion platform modernization, digital adoption, and automation initiatives.
    • Drive the development of local offerings to tap new client segments and markets.
  • Sales & Client Experience
    • Partner with Private Bankers, Advisors, and Investors to deepen client relationships and increase penetration of deposit and custody solutions.
    • Ensure best-in-class client experience through seamless product delivery, consultative sales support, and proactive client engagement.
    • Represent Deposits & Custody at senior executive forums and operating committees.
  • Risk, Controls & Regulatory Oversight
    • Navigate regulatory complexities across jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and robust risk management.
    • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Treasury, and Risk teams to maintain and enhance the risk framework.
    • Oversee exception pricing, rate approvals, and product governance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Build strong relationships with Technology, Operations, Finance, and other cross-functional partners to execute business strategy and drive process efficiencies.
    • Collaborate with Retail, Commercial and Investment Bank partners to ensure cohesive firm-wide strategy for deposit and custody solutions.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage the P&L for the Deposits & Custody business, focusing on optimizing the firm's balance sheet and delivering value through efficient and effective services.
    • Monitor key performance indicators and deliver on financial and operational targets.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
  • Significant experience in financial services, with a strong background in banking, investments, fixed income, or related areas.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing global teams in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives, drive innovation, and deliver client-centric solutions.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, balance sheet management, and risk frameworks.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams such as sales, product development, technology, operations, finance, and risk.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
  • Direct experience in deposits, custody, or treasury products is highly valued but not required.
  • Advanced degree or relevant professional qualifications preferred.
