POSITION SUMMARY

This role serves as Chief of Staff to the Team Principals, Senior Private Wealth Advisors; and will lead the team’s client event planning and digital marketing efforts—ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience for clients and internal partners.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning, Communications & Principal Support

  • Represent the Principals day-to-day as their front line with clients and internal partners—ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience.
  • Own stakeholder communication and coordination, triaging inbound requests and driving timely responses and outcomes.
  • Run meeting prep and follow-up end-to-end (briefing materials, agendas, action items, and accountability).
  • Protect and optimize the Principals’ time, proactively steering them to the right people, priorities, and forums.
  • Keep the operating cadence on track, anticipating needs and removing friction so the Principals can stay focused on decisions and relationships.

Calendar Prioritization & Coordination, Scheduling & Logistics (Travel + Expenses)

  • Manage scheduling for Team Principals (internal/external).
  • Maintain calendars strategically (sequencing, prep time, follow-ups) to reflect real-time priorities
  • Coordinate end-to-end travel, including last-minute changes.
  • Process expenses and reporting.

Events & Digital Marketing Lead

  • Lead end-to-end development and execution of client events.
  • Maintain an integrated events/marketing calendar aligned to business development priorities.

Coordinate digital marketing/communications (content, campaign calendar, email/social support as applicable).

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:

Education and/or Experience

  • 4+ years of work experience in a field relevant to the position required
  • Advanced degree or professional certification or prior industry experience required
  • Willingness to obtain additional licenses and/or designations as required

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Technically proficient and quick learner of new and updated platforms
  • Detail oriented with superior organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Expert knowledge of basic personal computer, MS Office (particularly MS Excel) and internet applications

  • Project- and tech-forward operator: strong project management (timelines, stakeholder coordination, follow-through) and high proficiency with Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Facebook, Zoom/Teams, plus hands-on experience leveraging AI tools; service mindset and commitment to a high-touch client experience.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
