Process Safety Engineer (PSM Lead)

As a Process Safety Engineer, you’ll be a key member of the EHS team (Environment, Energy, Health & Safety, and Sustainability). Based at our Grindsted site, you’ll lead initiatives that safeguard our people, processes, and communities while also supporting our Haderslev location. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will shape how we manage risk, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with national and global safety standards.

What You’ll Do:

• Champion and continuously improve our Process Safety Management (PSM) system
• Serve as the primary contact for national regulatory authorities and IFF’s global PSM network
• Lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and Pre-Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSR)
• Ensure our emergency response plans meet regulatory requirements and are ready for action
• Provide administrative and strategic support to our emergency response teams

What You Bring:

• A technical degree (Bachelor’s or higher) in engineering or a related field, with experience in process safety, risk management, or similar disciplines
• Proven project management skills, with the ability to juggle both strategic initiatives and day-to-day tasks
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities across diverse teams and stakeholders
• A structured, goal-oriented mindset, with a focus on measurable outcomes and continuous improvement
• Fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken
• Solid IT skills for data analysis, reporting, and system administration

Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and functional safety are considered as an advantage.
