The Procurement Specialist will manage end-to-end procurement, track orders, maintain vendor records, ensure compliance, and contribute to process improvements in a biotech context.
LEXEO Therapeutics is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to support our growing clinical-stage gene therapy organization. This role will be instrumental in managing end-to-end procurement operations, ensuring that goods and services are sourced, documented, and delivered efficiently to meet the needs of our R&D and G&A teams. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced biotech environment—balancing process discipline with flexibility—and will play a key role in strengthening Lexeo’s procurement infrastructure as we advance a cutting-edge pipeline addressing genetically defined cardiovascular and CNS diseases. Primary Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities
- Execute and track purchase orders and change orders, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including R&D and G&A to align procurement with project timelines and budgets
- Maintain and update vendor records and procurement documentation in ERP (NetSuite) and procurement systems (Zip)
- Ensure compliance with internal SOPs
- Contribute to procurement process improvements
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 2–4 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry
- Understanding of procurement workflows and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Attention to detail, with strong organizational and analytical abilities
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of supplier qualification processes and documentation standards in biotech
- Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, APICS)
- Experience supporting early-stage or growth-stage biotech companies
