The Director will lead Datadog's pricing function, partnering with teams to design pricing models and strategies that align customer value with growth objectives and simplify buying processes.

Datadog is seeking a Product Designer to help shape the future of our Database Monitoring (DBM) products. You’ll work closely with our Senior Product Designer and cross-functional partners to design tools that empower database administrators to quickly resolve issues, optimize performance, and monitor key health metrics. You’ll also support application developers in identifying and improving slow or inefficient queries.

Datadog customers run millions of jobs every minute and depend on clear visibility into their pre-production pipelines. As a Product Designer, you’ll help create intuitive, effective workflows that enable users to proactively troubleshoot, resolve database issues, and optimize performance. You’ll also support application developers in identifying and improving slow or problematic queries.

You’ll work within the product design team, collaborating with other designers to make the best designs and solutions for the product. You’ll not only own the success or failure of your design work, you’ll help other designers communicate their ideas and the support for their design decisions across the company.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with product managers, engineers, and design to understand how our customers use Datadog and what they need to succeed
  • See your design work through from start to finish: turn insights from user research into ideas, sketch and prototype to bring them to life, and ship products and features that make Datadog better
  • Be the expert in your product area, collaborating and enabling designers on the team to do their best work
  • Communicate both your design work and the support for your design decisions across the company
  • Work closely with engineering teams to understand and see through how your designs will be built

Who You Are:

  • You have 4+ years of experience in digital product design, with familiarity or strong interest in the platform/software delivery/observability/security industries/
  • Your portfolio includes a proven track record of shipping interaction design work in web applications.
  • You have a solid sense of research and analytical skills, solving users' problems and needs.
  • You are an excellent visual and written communicator, able to clearly communicate your design work and the support for your design decisions
  • Attentive to details, you use prototyping tools proficiently to visualize your designs throughout your process (e.g. Figma, Principle, Framer)
  • You understand systems thinking and component-based design patterns
  • You give and receive feedback well, supporting and improving the work of your colleagues as well as your own

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits and Growth:

  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)
  • Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing

  • Access to Inclusion Talks, our internal panel discussions
  • Free, global mental health benefits for employees and dependents age 6+
