Outtake exists to empower and facilitate trust for a digital-first world. Today, impersonation, fraud, AI-driven scams, and identity abuse spread faster than any security team can respond to. So we built something different: an agentic AI platform that proactively detects, monitors and takes down impersonators and automates protection in hours, not weeks.
Built by ex-Palantir, ex-CTO/founders, and ex-Notion engineers, Outtake is designed for clarity, autonomy, and velocity. Our goal is ambitious: become the trust layer of the modern internet. And we intend to do it with a lean, dense, exceptionally talented team.
The RoleWe're looking for a Product Designer to join as our second design hire. You'll work directly alongside our founding designer and the broader product and engineering team to shape how Outtake looks, feels, and works, from complex workflow builders to the small interactions that make powerful tools feel intuitive.
We're building something technically ambitious: agentic AI systems that handle nuanced, high-stakes tasks. That means the design challenges are real. Not just pushing pixels, but figuring out how to make complex information navigable and sophisticated workflows usable. You'll have significant ownership and room to grow as we scale.
This role is ideal for a full-stack product designer who's strong in visual design and has experience with interaction patterns beyond typical B2B SaaS (graphs, workflow builders, data-dense interfaces) but who's fundamentally product-minded and wants to keep sharpening their product thinking and strategy chops.
What You'll DoShape visual design across the product, establishing and evolving how Outtake looks and feels as we grow.
Design complex UIs (workflow builders, threat graphs, agent interfaces) that make dense intelligence data feel navigable and actionable.
Partner closely with our founding designer, engineering, and product to ship fast and iterate based on real user feedback.
Contribute to UX decisions and product strategy, not just execution. Your perspective on what we build matters as much as how it looks.
Build, extend, and maintain design systems that scale: components, patterns, documentation that help us move faster without sacrificing quality.
Engage directly with customers and their feedback to ground your work in real problems.
2-5 years of product design experience, ideally at early-stage or high-growth companies where you've had to own outcomes end-to-end.
Strong visual design instincts. You have a sharp eye and can elevate the craft of what we ship.
Comfort with complex, atypical interfaces. You've designed (or are eager to design) things like workflow builders, data visualizations, graphs, or similarly non-standard patterns.
Fundamentally product-minded. You care about users, think holistically about problems, and want to grow your product strategy skills.
Low ego. You give and receive feedback openly and don't get precious about your work.
You move fast and iterate. You're comfortable shipping v1s and improving from there rather than polishing in isolation.
Collaborative but autonomous. You work well with others, but can also navigate ambiguity and own your work fully without hand-holding.
Experience designing for AI, automation, or agent-based systems.
Background in cybersecurity, trust & safety, or risk-related products.
Familiarity with prototyping tools beyond static mocks.
You actively use AI tools in your design workflow and are always experimenting with new ways to leverage them.
You've been an early design hire and helped shape design culture from the ground up.
