Role Summary:
We’re seeking a product designer who excels at the intersection of user needs and technical feasibility, partnering closely with product owners and engineers to uncover insights and shape intuitive experiences from discovery through launch. You’ll craft seamless user journeys and pixel-perfect prototypes using our world-class design system, delivering visually stunning, rigorously tested solutions that scale beautifully across every screen size.
Responsibilities
- Be hands-on and involved in all aspects of the product development process, from brainstorming, prototyping, and development all the way through to feature launch
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to find ways to ship minimum viable product features, while striving for the best user experience possible
- Craft interactive prototypes and specs that communicate design solutions to engineering and product owners
- Confidently articulate design solutions to design leadership, product owners, engineering leads and stakeholders
- Participate in design reviews, critiques, brainstorm sessions, provide and receive insightful and actionable feedback
- Effectively utilize, extend, and maintain a shared library of components
- Contribute to strategic planning to connect design work with broader product goals
Qualifications
- Passion for turning complex problems into simple and user-centered experiences
- 3+ years of experience designing UX/UI and shipping products for commercial clients
- 2+ years of experience developing, maintaining, and extending design systems
- A deep understanding of UX and UI best practices, principles, and patterns
- Excellent visual design skills and an advanced understanding of visual solutions for all screen sizes, demonstrated in a well-crafted portfolio
- Figma expertise including auto layout, variants, variables, and libraries
- Experience conducting user research and collaboration sessions
- Experience collaborating across disciplines (design, product, engineering, QA) to support a new product/feature to launch
- Strong communication and self-management skills
- Result-driven mindset, process-driven approach
- Bonus points: Experience designing for AI/LLM-powered SaaS products, legal industry experience, startup experience.
Compensation Information: $120,000 - 150,000
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. The total compensation package for this position will be determined by each individual’s location, qualifications, education, work experience, skills and performance. We believe in the importance of pay equity - the range listed is just one component of Filevine’s total compensation package for employees. This position is also eligible for a paid time off policy, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
