The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Designer who will play a key role in shaping Masterworks’ investing platform. This is primarily a product design role, focusing on designing user-centric features, flows, and interfaces for our web and mobile applications.

A smaller, but meaningful, portion of the role will involve supporting our marketing team by designing content-driven investor communications, such as branded emails and campaign assets.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of web and product experiences from concept through implementation.
  • Create responsive, pixel-perfect designs in Figma (flows, wireframes, visual design, prototyping).
  • Build and code responsive marketing emails using HTML/CSS, ensuring cross-client rendering and mobile optimization.
  • Collaborate with product managers, marketers, and stakeholders in an agile, fast-paced environment.
  • Uphold visual consistency across product and marketing assets through thoughtful layout, typography, and interaction design.
  • Continuously test and refine designs, simplifying complex concepts into intuitive, elegant experiences.
Requirements
  • A strong online portfolio of example web projects you’ve led in a hands-on capacity—Candidates without one will not be considered.
  • 3–6+ years of design experience in product-driven companies or fintech.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Understanding of the formal elements of design, including UI, UX, layout, and typography
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for implementation quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex concepts visually.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML/CSS, particularly for responsive email design and cross-client compatibility.
Benefits at Masterworks:
  • Daily catered lunches
  • Free admission to art museums and galleries
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage with FSA options
  • PTO and 401k
  • Discounted Equinox membership
  • Happy hours, company outings, and more!
How does Masterworks think about compensation?

The compensation range for the role is $110,000 - 130,000 (inclusive only of base salary, and exclusive of other potential competitive benefits such as on-target commission, bonus payments, and equity). Our ranges are very broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive salaries outside of the posted ranges.
