Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Development Associate to join our Product Development team supporting French Connection. This role will play a critical part in managing fabric, trim, and sample development while ensuring timely execution across the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with strong communication skills and a passion for the apparel industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily communication with design teams, vendors, and suppliers regarding all aspects of sample development
  • Create and update seasonal factory development charts, ensuring accuracy throughout the development lifecycle
  • Track fabric deliveries from mills to factories and ensure alignment with development timelines
  • Manage and track sample development to ensure timely delivery for market deadlines
  • Coordinate package deliveries and organize samples efficiently
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to track and manage samples
  • Shop and research competitors within the price point and high-end market to stay informed on trends
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical design, merchandising, and production to support product lifecycle execution

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of product development experience, preferably in women’s apparel
  • Experience working in a high SKU count environment
  • Strong understanding of apparel construction, components, and development processes
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data manipulation)
  • Working knowledge of PLM, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The pay range for this position is: $65,000 – $75,000 per year.
