We are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to join our New York team to lead the product development process across categories and exploring new category launches. This role is responsible for managing timelines, costs, quality, and cross-functional communication to ensure products are delivered on time and aligned with brand and business objectives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is a hybrid position, working from our NYC offices 3-4 times per week.
What you’ll do:- Maintain seasonal development calendars and ensure milestone deadlines are met
- Partner with design, technical design and merchandising teams to execute product vision
- Serve as the primary liaison with new factories
- Track salesman sample development, approvals, and revisions
- Communicate clearly and consistently with vendors regarding timelines, costing, and quality expectations
- Support in product cost negotiations
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Maintain accurate costing information in internal tools
- Identify and resolve issues related to construction, materials, or manufacturing processes
- Manage supply chain and chain of custody documentations
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners throughout development
- 5+ years of product development experience in a fashion industry
- Strong understanding of product construction, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Proven experience managing multiple timelines and priorities simultaneously
- Experience working with overseas vendors and factories
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills
Compensation for the role will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience. The estimated annual compensation for this role is 90k+
