This job owns and drives the entire product lifecycle for a portfolio of AI-enabled clinical products, including clinical decision support and care orchestration solutions embedded directly in clinical workflows. Defines and manages the requirements for Epic and other electronic health record (EHR) integrations, ensuring products interoperate seamlessly with clinical systems and surface the right information to care teams at the right time. Uses or commissions market research, usability studies, and focus groups to identify best-of-breed benchmarks for solving customer problems. Partners with clinical and operational leaders to streamline care orchestration and improve care team efficiency. Leads company-wide decision-making for the product domain, develops a culture of experimentation and innovation to solve core customer needs, owns business planning, and serves as a representative to leadership.

Education

Required – Bachelor’s degree in business, technical, or related field.

Preferred - Master's degree in business, technical, or related field.

Work Experience

Required – 6 years of product manager or other relevant experience.  Experience leading the product lifecycle for 2-3 large products from visioning through requirements development through launch and measurement.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Understanding of domain and competitive landscape.
  • Strong understanding of EHR integration requirements, including Epic integration pathways and interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, CDS Hooks), and the ability to translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Working knowledge of clinical decision support tools, including how they are designed, validated, embedded in clinical workflows, and governed to ensure safe, effective use by care teams.
  • Understanding of care team operations and care orchestration workflows, and the ability to identify opportunities where technology can reduce friction and improve efficiency across care teams.
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications and ability to interpret, analyze, and understand complex data sets.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present complex data to tell the product story to senior leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence stakeholders across multiple organizations, including clinicians, informaticists, and operational leaders, to further the mission of the product team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use a creative approach.
  • Time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Job Duties

  • Owns product vision, prioritization, and detailed product definition for a portfolio of AI-enabled clinical decision support and care orchestration products across disciplines and service lines.
  • Defines and manages requirements for Epic and other EHR integrations, including data exchange, interoperability standards, and embedding product capabilities within clinical workflows.
  • Translates clinical workflows and care team needs into requirements for clinical decision support tools that deliver the right information to the right clinician at the right time.
  • Partners with clinical, operational, and informatics stakeholders to streamline care orchestration, reduce friction in care team workflows, and measure efficiency gains.
  • Invents channels with customers, stakeholders, and partners to identify problem areas that technology can solve.
  • Creates the product roadmap for multiple products and ensures the roadmap remains evergreen with inputs from business, clinical, operations, and software stakeholders.
  • Presents complex data to tell the product story to senior leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively identifies barriers to product scale, including integration, workflow adoption, and governance constraints.
  • Autonomously writes business cases for further investment in the product portfolio and influences leadership to invest in required scale.
  • Uses metrics to make decisions about the portfolio of products.
  • Autonomously makes feature-level decisions and influences more fundamental core product decisions with leadership.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue and as part of their employment, incumbents are not called upon to perform or assist in emergency care or first aid.

The incumbent has no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.

Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste. The risk level of exposure may increase depending on the essential job duties of the role.
