WM Analytics & Data (A&D) owns all the management reporting, customer and product behavior insights, and predictive modeling in support of WM, Banking, and Marketing. The WM A&D User Experience Data Collection team drives strategy and execution of platforms that collect quantitative and qualitative data about users experience across wealth management and firmwide digital properties and activities.

Sitting with A&D, this role will serve two primary functions

  • The product manager for the Wealth Management Data Cloud: define, prioritize, and execute the strategic roadmap for data capabilities that support Wealth Management business priorities and lead stakeholder engagement.
  • Serve as project manager for key data capability projects

Responsibilities:

Serve as the product manager for the Wealth Management Data Cloud, owning the product vision, roadmap, prioritization, execution, and communication strategy.

  • Lead stakeholder engagement efforts by partnering with senior business, technology,  analytics, and governance stakeholders in service of the above
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a multi-year roadmap for Wealth Management data capabilities, balancing strategic priorities, regulatory/control needs, technology dependencies, and business value.
  • Manage intake, prioritization, and sequencing of data capability requests, ensuring alignment to broader Wealth Management objectives and enterprise data strategy.
  • Lead cross-functional delivery efforts, coordinating across business teams, technology partners, data owners, analytics users, and governance stakeholders.
  • Define clear product requirements, success criteria, milestones, dependencies, risks, and implementation plans for key Data Cloud initiatives.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment through regular communication, executive updates, governance forums, working groups, and roadmap reviews.
  • Partner with technology and data engineering teams to ensure delivery plans are feasible, well-sequenced, and aligned to architectural and platform standards.
  • Support adoption of Wealth Management Data Cloud capabilities by defining user engagement plans, training needs, documentation, feedback loops, and change management approaches.
  • Establish and monitor product success measures, including adoption, data availability, delivery progress, stakeholder satisfaction, and business impact.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the Data Cloud operating model, including intake processes, prioritization routines, ownership models, delivery transparency, and issue escalation.
  • Promote strong data management practices, including data quality, lineage, ownership, controls, entitlementing, metadata, and governance alignment in partnership with key partners and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in product management, data capabilities, data platforms, business management, strategy, project management, technology delivery, or a related function.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives involving business, technology, data, and senior stakeholder groups.
  • Strong project and program management skills, including roadmap development, milestone tracking, dependency management, risk identification, and issue resolution.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear product requirements and prioritize competing demands based on strategic value, feasibility, urgency, and impact.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence, build consensus, and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including experience preparing senior-level updates, decision materials, roadmaps, and progress summaries.
  • Familiarity with data platforms, cloud data environments, data governance, data quality, data lineage, metadata, or enterprise data management concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate independently, structure ambiguous problems, and drive work from concept through execution.
  • Experience working with a geographical dispersed team.
  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • Undergraduate degree required

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
