About the role

Luma Financial Technologies is seeking an experienced Product Manager who excels at executing the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC), managing multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously, and partnering closely with business stakeholders across a dynamic capital-markets environment. This role requires strong organizational discipline, the ability to quickly reprioritize as situations evolve, and the judgment to balance near-term execution with longer-term objectives.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in structured products or alternative investments and understands the workflows of Financial Advisors, Bankers, Brokers, Wholesalers, Asset Managers, and Investment Banks. Experience working at a fintech platform, investment bank, asset manager, or similar capital-markets institution is essential.

What you'll do

PDLC Execution & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end execution of the PDLC across discovery, design, development, QA, release, and post-launch evaluation.
  • Translate complex financial workflows into clear, detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage multiple high-priority initiatives at once, ensuring each remains on track through structured planning and active communication.
  • Demonstrate strong flexibility and real-time reprioritization as new information, constraints, or business needs emerge.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering to guide sprint planning, backlog refinement, and milestone management.
  • Business Stakeholder Partnership
  • Act as the central liaison between business teams and engineering, ensuring alignment of priorities and clarity of requirements.
  • Partner with Sales, Trading, Operations, Issuers, Legal/Compliance, and Client Success to refine workflows and validate solutions.
  • Communicate evolving priorities clearly and adjust plans as market conditions or stakeholder needs shift.
  • Provide consistent updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and changes in scope.
  • Leveraging AI & Modern Product Tools
  • Use Figma’s AI design tools, Jira’s AI-enabled backlog and ticket-generation features, and other emerging technologies to accelerate discovery, documentation, and execution.
  • Employ AI to generate wireframes, user flows, test cases, release notes, and dependency analysis.
  • Identify additional tools that improve efficiency, reduce manual steps, and support scalable product operations.

Capital Markets & Structured-Product Expertise

  • Apply deep subject-matter expertise to ensure the platform mirrors real-world structured-product workflows and market practices.
  • Understand the lifecycle of structured products from issuance to lifecycle events and secondary-market considerations.
  • Represent the workflow perspectives of advisors, issuers, bankers, distributors, and operations teams.
  • User Experience & Platform Quality
  • Partner with UX/design teams to ensure features support clean, intuitive, and compliant workflows.
  • Conduct UAT, support QA feedback loops, and validate feature readiness for deployment.
  • Improve dashboarding, reporting, and workflow efficiencies across advisor and issuer interfaces.
  • Operational & Support Alignment
  • Collaborate with Client Success to prioritize and resolve support issues with clear SLAs.
  • Develop product documentation, process materials, and release communications.
  • Ensure that new releases are smoothly adopted through clear training and stakeholder enablement.
  • Cross-Platform Coordination
  • Work across product lines to ensure unified standards, shared components, and scalable system design.
  • Identify upstream and downstream dependencies, proactively communicating their impact to teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in structured products, alternative investments, or related capital markets domains.
  • Experience at a fintech platform, investment bank, asset manager, or similar institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous initiatives while maintaining strong execution discipline.
  • Strong agility and adaptability with the ability to reprioritize quickly as situations evolve.
  • Skilled in PDLC execution with a proven track record of delivering complex software capabilities.
  • Strong command of Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Experience with Jira, Figma, and openness to adopting new AI-enabled productivity tools.
  • Experience working with issuers, advisors, or product-distribution partners.
  • Understanding of structured-product issuance systems, lifecycle processes, and compliance.
  • Background working in modular or multi-team product environments.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools.
