As a Product Manager in Chief Data & Analytics office Data Infrastructure Team, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
The Product Manager for AI/ML Enablement at Databricks is responsible for guiding the strategic direction and execution of AI and machine learning initiatives on the Databricks platform. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, marketing teams, to develop and deliver innovative solutions that empower customers to harness the full potential of AI/ML technologies on Databricks. The Product Manager will play a key role in defining product roadmaps, prioritizing features, and ensuring successful product launches that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
Job responsibilities
  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  • Conducts market research and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements and new offerings.
  • Defines product requirements, create detailed specifications, and prioritize features based on customer impact and business value.
  • Partners closely with marketing and client engagement teams to develop go-to-market strategies and support product launches.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on AI/ML technologies and trends, providing guidance and insights to internal teams and customers.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar frameworks, GenAI use cases (e.g., LLMs, RAG, Model Context Protocol, Agents, AI Gateway), Model Development Lifecycle (e.g., MLOps).
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, data science, and cloud computing platforms.
  • Experience with Databricks or similar data engineering and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and tools.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
  • Certification in product management or related fields.
